Cool build. Definitely neat to see someone making something like this work when even small no till drills are really pricey, and these type of drills are a dime a dozen. Just out of curiosity, where in WI are you from? I would like to see how your pastures do with certain crop mixes since I’m in SW Wisconsin as well.

The good ole haybine !!!!!!! So many farmers went to a haybine......instead got the same ole same ole..........sickle mower ! Farmers never knew they needed to remove the shims / spacers between the haybine rolls ! They cut hay for years......not knowing why their hay didnt dry faster. Rolls in a haybine should be to where you cant pull a sheet of paper out between the rolls. Or........you still have the old sickle mower ! Factory said there should be spacers between the rolls to prevent wear. Not true. The rolls do now wear if hay is passing through........self lubricating with the moisture in the hay.

No till ? That means your broad casting. Therefore no need for discs. I have the same type of system ........but its on steel wheels. Its so amazing and easy to use. Basically you can pull it behind a truck at any speed. Carry the seed in the truck box. Ive already used it going 20 miles per hour. It works ! Tillage..... to incorporate the seed I use a Krauss disc.........13 foot........ gangs out of gear and can go at 15 miles per hour. It dust the soil.......not much movement of the soil.

Hi im possibly a bit late but lack of fuel will NOT cause heat in a diesel engine, to much diesel or lack of air will cause heat. Petrol on the other hand is the opposite.
@southwestwifarm3516 Жыл бұрын
After consulting and sending the piston off to 2 engine shops specializing in Diesel engines, the consensus for the piston scarring is still partially from lack of fuel, extended use of ether and high rpm cold start. This is all in line with the history and hours on the tractor, 10k+ hours and it was the tmr mixer tractor on a 200+ cow dairy farm since 1980 in Wisconsin, it’s lived a hard life
