That’s exactly what I’m doing with my basslines right now, I know good basslines are built using chordal tones as the outlines. But lately I’ve been trying to really get deep into pronouncing the chordal tones within a solid baseline especially when connecting the chords, I’m really trying to make the bass perfectly line fit into those different chordal tones 13:37 and inversions for connecting the chords so that you can really hear those specific tones in my lines without actually playing any bass chords. It’s the perfect tool to glue the melodic and rhythmic aspects of the song together seamlessly for the listener
