Every word he says is true! His Cover is definitely one of the best covers on this VU tribute album. And Cale is a cosmic phenomenon in the Rock Universe. The Velvets laid the foundation of things to come.

It was ridiculous really, I'd be travelling around the US or Australia in my twenties, and I'd go to cities alone, first thing I'd do anywhere was go to the library and spend the day reading books about the VU.

I understand that not wanting to know "how the sausage is made" paradox, especially with such dark source material. But without the darkness, there is no appreciation for the light.
