Thank you for saying the part about "money doesn't buy happiness". I have heard other commentators tear this album apart and say stuff like, "Awwww, poor little billionaire." Obviously, she's one of the most famous women in the world and has lots to be thankful for but, I've heard plenty say "it's lonely at the top." Just because someone has the ability to have or do anything they could possibly want, it doesn't replace their integral human need for connection.

Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I listened to this album the literal hour it came out, and I was tripping on acid, and this song gave me “series finale” vibe, but in the darkest way possible…

3:50 "Ït wont be my city again till Im dead" for my this verse reffers to her inability to go back to New York by personal/emotion reasons, but knowing that she will return dead and she dies because we are usually buried along with our family members in the same city/cemitery.

Selby wall Ethel Cain next if you're up for it. She's a very dark artist, her music is a deep way of coping for me. There are some things alot of people I feel will not understand due to not going through such things themselves. Til it happens to you - Lady Gaga

Definitely a song of wanting him and letting go of the critics voices. I believe her father has a very strong opinion on guys she dates. I wonder how her father reacts to her boyfriends or if he talks to the guy one on one. It’s really hard I’m sure for her to connect with a partner for a long period of time. I really thought that she and Joe would have married. Taylor needs to take a look at her patterns with guys. She needs therapy to help her not make the same mistakes in her love relationships. ❤

My two cents as far as getting your personal feelings about each song as you feel it relates to your own life: It's why I'm here. I found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching your videos. I love the perspectives I hadn't considered when putting my own feelings onto the songs. Tracks that didn't previously resonate with me now feel like they have meaning and I understand them better. Also, I've shed cathartic tears as I learn more of your past. Tears for you and for my sister, who has been through similar. Much love to you for having this channel and for sharing so much of yourself with us internet strangers. I hope we can help you heal as much as you help us.

I listened to this song with my hand over my mouth, getting progressively more shocked with each lyric I heard. This is the most positive song she's ever written about the Kimye drama and I really hope that this signifies her healing from it as much as she can. Every line is such a sick burn, but she never stooped to the level that they did.

I'd love so much to see you react to "Cassandra," (it's my second favorite on the album after "who's afraid of little old me"🎉.) and "I Can Fix him, (no really I can)." Honestly, if you just worked your way through the entirety of TTPD I'd be totally here for it😆

eve wasn't bitten. she's the one who sinned and caused it all on herself. reversing that to make eve/herself the victim is a lie. Choices were made. Taylor Lautner did choose her and she walked "chasing that fame". And she has made a big point about choosing the house and castle over the ring. With the other guys obviously better choose the money than then. But she has chosen this path deliberately. shes no victim. she bit the apple. this is karma and its not her boyfriend.

I’m the mom of two Autistic young adults, one of whom will likely always need to live with me. When I found out Aaron’s son was Autistic then re-listened to the song it made perfect sense to me - even the ‘bloodthirsty’ part made me smile. My daughter spent most of her first 8 years of life pretending to be a ferocious wild animal and she did more growling and roaring than talking. To me, the line ‘slowed down clocks tethered,’ sounds like it’s talking about a developmentally delayed child. The line, ‘Buried down deep and out of your reach, the secret we all vowed to keep it, from you, in sweetness’ reminds me of the times my heart ached as I’d watch my precious little girl playing and knowing there would be a day that she would figure out that she was ‘different’ and I wanted to protect her from the potential pain even while knowing I couldn’t. She’s 19 now and still my precious Wild Thing and one of the most delightful humans ever.

I think the song is about at least 3 different relationships if not 3 different stages of her development as seen through her romantic relationships. Each of the verses and the chorus that follows sounds like it’s about a different relationship to me. The verses and the last version of the chorus are different in pretty significant ways. In the end, though, you’re right she is telling the whole word that this is her life and her choices and if you don’t like it you can sit down and shut up. (Go Taylor!)

i bawled my eyes out seeing this show, only god knows how much mistreatment and backlash she got from the industry from the start and she still manages to fill a whole Coachella show, she’s such a beautiful human being and i’m glad that she’s very much loved by so many fans. i’m so glad i was able to see her live in 2018 bc her shows are a whole spiritual experience, the best way to describe it is that she makes love with our souls, it’s so crowded but you still feel that she’s there singing just for you

Sorry old video but with the “I believe in the country America used to be” line I believe she meant the freedom of the country, the kindness of it’s people, the American dream not all of the mistreatment racism, sexism etc. of the old America after all she romanticizes the old version of America to this day
