Thank you! That screw that holds it has to have a nut in the back, PIA to get it back in. I just used a larger width sheet metal screw that caught into the plastic hole

i think i just saved few hundreds of $$$ -- ironically i got the error after HVAC/AC was "serviced" and they said to not look at Navien unless there is an error or hot water is not working! Such a BS -- i watched your video and found a manual of my model; took me 15-20 min to clean the air filter, it was so bad, never cleaned, $$$ spent for "services" during the years.. thank you thank you thank you for this VIDEO!!!⛑

@@acreagelife9644 thank you again - I’ll try to clean the water filter next; I had the unit descaled by a plumber couple of years ago but he didn’t clean either of the filters; I wish I could add a pic of the air filter here - it was filled with dirt from the outside

My exact problem but I was able to pull the dust layer off like it was the driers lint trap once it was removed. Thanks for this!

You should run the Oregon Gator blade with the mulch kit and try again. The rear teeth on the gator blades do a better job of mulching than high-lift blades.

Just woke up to the WIFE saying- The waters not getting hot! as she was getting in the shower. I checked the heater and the 110 code was displaying. I go to you tube and just like that. A quick and concise cause and solution to the problem. Not a lot of snow on ANYTHING her in Southern California. So I was confident it was the internal filter. My unit does not have the snap straps so a Phillips screwdriver was called to action. 5 screws total/ 4 on the cover and 1 on the filter clamp. Most certainly the culprit. Unplugged the unit (safety First ) Cleaned the screen that had a layer of lint like a dryer lint screen. I dried it and re installed. Plugged it in and was pleased that it had a memory of my settings. I was able to enjoy a warm shower. Not so much for the wife.....LOL. Thank you.Excellent information.

I have the 54 xdx. Is there a quick way to switch to side exit instead of bagging or what is the solution when you don’t want to bag every time?!
@acreagelife9644
@acreagelife9644 2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can remove the chute and let the clipping exit the right side of the deck. It actually cuts very well with that extra airflow without the chute. Here's a quick shot if it 4:54.

So a year ago (2023) my 16' Schubert tree (about 20 years old) started leafing out as it does every year but then we got hit with a late snowstorm with freezing temperatures. Everything was frozen and it never leafed out again after this event and so for the whole year there were no leaves. I also noticed during the summer that the birds started to eat away at some of the bark leaving it exposed to the elements. I was hoping that this year it would come back but it didn't. Right now there are no leaves showing, just a bare tree. I don't think it is dead because there are suckers growing around the base and other parts of the yard like these trees are prone to do. My question now being Is there anything that can be done to bring this tree back ?
@acreagelife9644
@acreagelife9644 2 ай бұрын
Sounds like the weather may have played a role in this issue. I have had other trees die for that reason. If the birds are eating the bark, they could be eating insects under the bark. If there are still suckers, the roots sound like they are ok and the tree is making a last effort to survive. Check for bugs where the birds are active and maybe post photos of them and the tree in a redit group or on a tree or a local plant group on facebook.

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering about the other deck sizes. If the grass is healthy and lush, seems like that internal moisture is too wet and heavy for the chute.

As others have written, your solution worked like a charm. Thank you so much for posting this. I have two small additions to contribute. (1) My 10-year-old unit does not have the clips that yours has to hold the cover in place. Instead, it has four screws, two at the top and two at the bottom. Removing those screws to get the cover off is trivial, but I'm just pointing out that my unit is slightly different from the one in the video. (2) The screws that the installers used to secure the intake pipe protrude through the case and block the path by which the filter slides out. I had to remove those screws to clear the path and then I was able to slide out the filter (after removing the screw that you warned us not to let drop into the unit). Again, removing those screws is trivial, but I'm just noting it for others who might run into this same issue. Thank you again for saving us the cost -- and hassle! -- of getting a service technician to come to our house to fix this problem.

very interesting. I had to take my hustler mulcher off as found it clogged too much either stalling the machine of leaving huge dumps mulch either end of my stripes/runs. Now without it, I end up with long stripes of cut grass which I was thinking about getting a bagger for - though I don't want to run back and forth emptying it :)
