I don't have the proper pines around me either. I do however have a Walmart and they sell fatwood in the grilling section. This is a good idea as a substitute im definitely going to be trying it out just because its something to do related to bushcrafter and Fire and i love fire 😂

Great blanket, like the color. I still use my wool blanket on most of my overnight trip. Horseshoe bedroll style works great with a Haversack.

Nice blanket Sid. Is it 100 percent wool. I need another blanket; it doesn't get very cold in California.... but my body no longer can tolerate temperatures below 50 f....so blankets are very helpful. Where was it purchased?k

I am OCD about organization. Everything in its place and a place for everything. Back in the days when I used a haversack, gear bags were the order of the day. Nowadays I carry a Swiss Gear Boarding Bag with lots of nooks, crannies, and pockets so the need for gear bags is minimal. With that said, organization is a must, it could be a matter of life or death if you have to know what is where in a hurry.

If you have a wall that 89” wide and your siding is 96” wide do you need to artificially create seams or can you run the wall up without a seam being a single board covers the length? Thx.

I had a similar problem. Took mine away on a trip and found that the buckle set up couldn't handle tight cinching and self destructed (needed to cinch tightly to secure the load). Got rid of it and got a Helicon Tek haversack. Problem solved. I don't know how the Polish soldiers got on. Maybe they weren't issues with much bread!

That's a bummer. I have 3 polish sacks and I have not had any problem with them. I have one bag that I use every day. I take my books and my carry in my bag everyday and it is handled a lot. It is opened and closed at least a few times every day. Now I do not cinch mine down overly tight.
