When I was a kid , I found a cab out in the woods for one of these. I checked on it and it's still there. I'm 66 now. 4:19

So many of the new trucks have so much flash with wazoo body styles. This truck is perfect. Simple and not all that pretty city boy flash and flare.

Hi, is it possible to send me some photos of the engine? I need to use them in order to confirm a similar Listard found in an old mill, that needs to be restored. We need somehow to date the machine. Thanks in advance!

A very cool old truck, thanks for posting

This is part of a disturbing trend; videos of beautifully restored classic motorcycles that their owners start and lovingly show off, but don’t ride!! What the hell?! The entire point of a motorcycle is to convey the rider from one place to another. Showing a piece of mechanical art is nice, but if you don’t ride it, it’s not a motorcycle, it’s a statue. So frustrating to anticipate watching a beautiful bike being ridden, only to have my time wasted.

Nicely inconspicuous.

We called our 2a Land Rovers puddle jumpers for the same reason. Short wheelbase, heavy duty suspension, bounce well. Shame another gearbox cruncher killing a revered CMP truck for "fun". If you don't know how to drive it, you don't deserve it till you learn.

Yeah didnt get much money for scrap either from it.

It looks like the black 202 engine from the VK Commodore has been dropped into the HQs engine bay. I have noticed a bit of the pollution control gear has been fitted into the HQ !

What a nice swap, even leaves plenty of room in the engine bay to work. You could've shoehorned a 453 in there but I'm glad you didn't, also can't imagine the added weight would've done any favours for the handling. This is the right Detroit for this truck, no question. Thanks for the video.

Put a totally enclosed air cleaner on it with muffler on intake. Then sound insulation under the hood. Big difference.
