I’m stuck between buying an howarth oboe and a Loree Royal oboe do you have any suggestions on other instruments or which to choose

What is that bulge in the body of the instrument near the top?
@RixonThomas Жыл бұрын
The designer says it's for the sound. It could also be because the maple wood is quite brittle? But all the Maple Wood Mönnig instruments have this feature. Thanks for noticing : )

Absolutely stunning solo. 👌 Now that's how you play English horn.

His control is incredible. The amount of air and embouchure control it would take to do this... My jaw would probably snap off. I bow down to him. I even adapt his way of playing to my oboe playing.

Your playing always impresses me with the musicality you show. This is not an easy piece to play or realise and you make it sound the most natural thing. I have an old Buffet (from 1918) that I play this on, but I am afraid I am nowhere near your expressive standard. I hear it and weep.

Thanks so much for uploading this. You play this solo with so much beauty and poignancy that I am speechless. Your phrasing, tone quality and dynamics are all spot on. Thanks for adding a bit of beauty to an old man's life.Bravo. I wish you well in your musical career.
