Newbie in 1/10 buggies here, been racing B7 (carpet), for almost month & learning what needs upgrades as I go and very limited help from others not having gone to B7 from 6.4 yet… With that, I’m racing on indoor, tight, high traction carpet. I’ve broken 2-c-blocks and have upgraded since C, and hinge pins,, etc. since. Will this system benefit in my track scenario? Do you recommend staying with the slipper, or eliminate? If eliminated, which brand/type do you recommend with the puck system? Can you help point me in the right direction on exactly what I need to order? I got a little confused in video once discussing TLR parts, sanding, etc. IOW, is there just a ready to go upgrade kit I can buy (or combo if necessary part#’s). If there’s a clearer explanation to upgrade benefits regarding more strength, performance, etc.

I like the guy who stands there looking straight ahead and to his left....he has NEVER even looked to his right, so he must just be holding down the trigger and letting the car go full speed. No skill involved at all it seems?

Hey I appreciate it there's always going to be some kid coming up through the ranks I never even heard of him until I watch this race. Dakota's a great driver but I got to say Taylor was pretty consistent it was impressive. That tlr car has the speed and in the right hands it's capable

Indoor dirt tracks are challenging for a number of reasons. Racing outdoors in northern climates isn't feasible for much of the year and it's a very popular winter hobby here. Even if you look at RC dirt tracks, they have changed a lot over the years. They aren't even really dirt in my opinion. They use glue or traction compound to turn the surfaces very hard and have a high level of grip. This is in response to some of the challenges I referenced earlier (dust control, reducing reliance on water, etc). Anyway, it is what it is. If you are going to race offroad RC, it's most likely going to be on carpet or a "prepped" dirt track that resembles asphalt more than dirt because of the prep. I race carpet and I think it's a blast. If you see these cars in person, the way they accelerate, brake and turn on the high grip carpet makes most people's jaw drop. Often the first thing they say is how is it possible to control them? Video doesn't do justice to the size of this track. The fastest classes are turning 14 - 15 seconds laps on this layout.

We really only have one carpet track in our state and it's called beach line.

I always assumed that pre-cut bodies were die-cut. Surprised to see a 5 axis mill cutting it out. But i suppose on a small-ish production run (by manufacturing standards), its not worth the tooling cost for a a die, so the 5 axis becomes more economical. Really cool to see behind the scenes, thanks Matt! Wish i could fit a 1/5 scale into my budget. But i can barely afford 1/10 😅

Long thick red hair and the maroon shirt, i can see the mistake on first glance.... that pit guy is none other than the one, the only, DB... with his hair down and no hat... still remember watching DB bump through about 7 or 8 intermediate mains 2 DNCs ago, to lead almost the entire A and end up 2nd right at the end.... that kid is a legend already, both the Bartlett brothers are insanely fast... No air brakes and he was on the ground for like 3 inches before hitting the car on that lander, I'd have a hard time calling that the fault of the driver landing the jump rwgardless of who it was.... don't have your car sideways on the lander and that won't happen, but id call that a no fault...

There WAS a few people who ran a full 10 minutes , probably depends on how much trigger they're pulling, i pitted some runs for Corey Ware and his Reds 721 made 10 minutes with a few drops to spare...
