It's interesting. Marines have some of the strictest policies and regulations of any army in the world, but they can walk around in shirts, a total no-go in like every other modern army in the world hah, even in places with inferno temperatures!

We felt like old hands during the last phase of 12B OSUT. (Can't remember if it was 'black' or 'gold' phase.) When those of us going overseas had to go back to reception for extra vaccinations we felt SO good seeing the brand new arrivals still in civilian clothes right where we were a few months earlier. We asked our drill sergeant to put on a show and smoke us to scare the new arrivals; he wanted to but said he'd probably get into trouble. Then when you get to your duty station it's a reset as you're the new boot that doesn't know shit. It takes a couple of weeks to become someone not quite as despised depending on your personality and whether you're actually trying and not a shitbird.

Not Eagles, Strike Eagles. There is a difference. F-15C Eagle. F-15E Strike Eagle. One is strictly air-to-air, other is also a2a but mostly air-to-ground. One is single seat, other is tandem seat. Too many of these types of channels do this.

I fly fixed wing and a buddy of mine trains Blackhawk pilots on this same sim. On his base. For the first time in my life I got on base and was allowed to fly the UH 60 and it's an experience I will never forget. I done rather well even though I never flew a rotor craft I had pretty good knowledge of how they work and their attitude once in the air. Take off was a breeze but though I got it my landing was a little squirrely. This thing is amazing. Their around ten million from what I hear. I'll start putting back 20 bucks a week.
