What a fortuitous serendipty that I should find this video on the same day when I was asking myself how do I think more like Stanley in the construction of my own films. I watched this from start to finish, blown away by the depth and complexity of this analysis, and the ending was especially poignant, inspiring...revitalizing. Thanks for creating this masterpiece of a deconstruction and sharing it here. I've no doubt that it will continue to challenge like minded artists to dig deeper, go further and push harder

You must be losing your mind in finding these absurd patterns, why in the fuck would Kubrick go to the extreme lengths to encode all of this gibberish in his movies to say absolutely nothing in the end by it and prove no extra point with it. It gives no extra meaning or value to the art and him being a man of logic it does not suit the character, this would more suit a schizophrenic to do so and make movies make sense playing fucking forwards and backwards simultaneously for fucks sake man. Keep digging you are almost there you will crack the code soon!

Very interesting ! Thanks a lot. 1:00:24 … you have another connection here with The Avengers and Kubrick. Laurie Johnson (The Laurie Johnson Orchestra) the british composer of The Avengers soundtrack is the same composer of The Theme From "Dr. Strangelove" (The Laurie Johnson Orchestra And Chorus) in 1964.

He also did that Thriller series I show in Eye Scream. Yeah, it seems there's a Kubrick/Johnson/Clemens connection. Good spotting.

Hi Musty, thanks for the encouragement. I'm hoping to have it out by the end of the summer, but no later than, let's say... Christmas.

I’m sorry I could not finish this. You can do this sort of interpretation and numerology with literally any movie, piece of art or book. It doesn’t get you any closer to its “true” meaning. Any number, phrase, or image can be infused with meaning if you try hard enough.

Even if every detail was deliberate (and I mean EVERY detail), meaningless coincidences could still be found. Think about that. It's really a fun video, and thank you for the exit from reality for 2+ hours; I love this kind of stuff. But it is borderline asinine is it not?
@FredneloreАй бұрын
All respect, in the sense that your curiosity seems truthful, you don't use the beatles, a construct, an industry pop enternainement moneyprinting machine to analyse real creation. Puppets are not masters of their will, per definition. Someone who decides when to begin and when to end a production of a work of art is not to be compared with others who had their routines scheduled; a boy band; appointments demanded by bosses; what they could say in interviews was restricted if not rehearsed.... [Remember: in one case you're being told; in the other case you're the one who tells]

The exact release date of this video is the ultimate example of the April Fool's days joke, which is almost like opposite day so every day is normal day but on opposite day then normal day becomes opposite day which means that all the other days are opposite days & that this video is a joke wrapped up as a non-joke 😐

1942 is probably the least important years of WWII…. From 1939 to 1945 there might be only 1 other year less important than 1942 so going with 1942 makes no sense

On the contrary. There is no such thing as “Christian Mythology” but there is “Greek Mythology”. Hercules is a fictional, copycat character of Samson, an actual human being who lived on planet Earth unlike Hercules.

There is no end to the explosion of irrationality-well, till it destroys us, that is. Can’t you lunatics just enjoy Kubrick’s films without creating some braindead conspiracy?

Joe forgot to count up the number of times Jack Blinks in on screen, which is 118 and a half, therefore if you multiply by his two eyes then that's 237. Mind Blown!!!
@DeathScyther0062 ай бұрын
A lot of this is grasping at straws. You can think of it like how the Bible Code supposedly predicted a lot of world events like 9/11, but then the same techniques were used to find similar apparent patterns in random books like Moby Dick. If you manipulate the film enough, of course you will find neat coincidences. I would urge Joe Girard to pick any other movie, play it backwards and forward while listening to another Beatles album, and see what you find. If nothing, try starting the album from the middle of the movie. Maybe also try some documentary soundtracks. Sooner or later you will find 2 hours worth of neat coincidences to talk about.
@DeathScyther0062 ай бұрын
I do like the look into the significance of paintings on the set. That type of analysis is much more likely to be revealing of a deliberate choice of the director to communicate with the audience.
