Wow, the nostalgia is REAL. To be honest, I actually like how the game takes the time to introduce new characters that the movie obviously didn't have, like the white crocodile and the hulking fossa leader. It really feels like the developers took full advantage of the fact that a video game version of the story would have way more time to flesh out the world than the movie itself, and just went full-tilt with it by adding so much cool content. I didn't even know until now about the dolphin giving coins on the beach, a neat little touch that references Marty's dolphin friends in the film. Much thanks for this all-out 100% run through all the nooks and crannies of one of my favorite childhood games. Man, I miss when animated films had such unusually fun game adaptations even if the graphics may not have aged too well (The Emperor's New Groove, Toy Story 3, Ice Age 2 & 3, etc)...

Absolutely agree, I've never been a graphics guy, I always aimed for a good gameplay experience and a good story, and this game has both. It's just that one game that you can beat 10 times and it still wouldn't bore you. Also, I might just as well play those other movie adaptations games, never encountered them before, and they seem really fun :D

wait how did you not get attacked for so long, I've replayed this many times and there's always a huge attack at 5-7 min, including Nidhog, and the attacks keep coming non stop. There must be something triggering it xd.. I've only managed to defend around the middle, building boats, naval myth and tower and walls

There is a neat thing about this game's AI, which is, it's actually stupid xD, I realized that if I set some troops on the enemy's wave, they would follow them until they kill 'em and there would not be anymore waves as the current one is still alive, so, around 22:30 you can see I've set 2 heroes to go in circle and keep enemy's troops busy, until I rebuild my base so I can push, I could've done this level much better if I've started exploiting AI immediately, however, once I completed the level, I just said naaaah, it's good as it is.... I am sure if you managed to catch first wave around the same circle and set heroes (they have the most health), and let them keep the enemy busy, you can concentrate on resources and do all upgrades and start pushing eventually, make sure you build a lot of unit producing building near enemy's base so you can go mass production while pushing, that's pretty much the strategy I used in all levels, I ain't really good at this game, pretty casual, so you should be able to reproduce everything I've done here

Nope xD It's just some video editing magic. I paused a few times during the walk to go eat, because yeah, I'd die before reaching the full circle... It's kinda hard to notice when the pauses are made, because the video is sped up and I would continue the walk exactly at the same position and time I stopped. However, there are 2 places in the video that you can really see that if you watch carefully. Others are just straight up impossible to notice if you don't know already.

You can calculate it because one in-game day is actually 24 minutes irl. So if I spent 4 hours 4 minutes 32 seconds irl that is approximately 10.18 days in-game
