No, this is not correct. SPF indicates the protection against UVB. PA indicates the protection against UVA. Some countries don't use the PA system. Instead they say SPF Broad Spectrum. When you see SPF Broad Spectrum that means it protects against both UVA and UVB just like the Asian sunscreen which say SPF and PA. Asian sunscreen also have products with sweat resistant and water proof ability while not all western and European products automatically good for outdoor usage.

Well, after watching this video, I must conclude that you were trolling, possibly because of the historical competition and animosity between the British and the French, and the recent history of Brexit. Else why would you make such a misleading video. Yes, the boots star rating is based on UVA/UVB protection factor proportion, but so is the EU's UVA seal, which is a stamp of at least 1/3 of UVB SPF factor. A boots 3-star SPF 30 sunscreen has its UVA protection superior to EU peers, since 3-star indicates that UVA protection is at least 60% of the SPF 30 UVB protection. Whilst on contrary, a EU approved sunscreen of SPF 30 have its UVA protection of at least 33% UVB protection. And a Japanese sunscreen of PA ++++ only indicates PPD rating of sixteen or more. I fail to see how is Boots star rating inferior to any of other regime systems.
