I find recommendations of legs straight down puzzling. Arent we supposed to avoid this in infants due to their underdeveloped hip joints and instead aim for M position with knees somewhat flexed and hips abducted?

Finally a technique i hasn't already learned (although still nothing is working and I'm staying to think I've got the most unburpable baby). The clockwise she counter clockwise strategies I'd never seen before. Thanks for giving me new ones to try.

I have a question is the Initial program stays only for 15 min long. The erhalt program is for as long as the mother wants ??

wouw 👏🏼👏🏼 This is a great video. I’ve watched many videos of medela machines and No one talking about their lifetime. I was looking for a good pump and I’ve seen many negative reviews about this machines stop working after 6 months or so. Now, I can understand why they don’t work anymore.

My baby is 5.5 months old. Until now we had direct breastfeeding journey. I'll be joining back to work. Have hired this pump. Since my supply is already established, do I need to press the initiate button during each pumping session?

I’ve been exclusively pumping for 10 months because my baby wouldn’t latch. I just got a new job and they have mother’s roomsall over campus with symphonies in each room! I’m so excited because my supply has been suffering because my other pump is wearing out.

It's not clear if they are both portable pumps. Are they both portable? Or do you have to stay plugged in with the pump in style?

I think you switched the bags. The nicer bag actually comes with the pump in style max

Great to see interviews educating about holistic medicine for paediatrics! Please consider doing an interview on Osteopathy! I highly recommend connecting with my colleague, who is local to you, Alison Rock, as she works with paediatrics

(If you do get in contact with her, tell her Brenda sent you! She is amazing, and prior to becoming an osteopath she was a paediatric occupational therapist!)

I just checked, she is still working under the title ‘occupational therapist’ as she is currently writing her thesis in osteopathy to complete, but will still be able to offer a plethora of info about osteopathy, especially since she is doing her thesis!

Hi great video, during the growth spurt phase, do we feed the baby on her demand or do we still limit the intake. If feeding by demand would cause overfeeding? We are bottle feeding.

Initially burping was a great struggle and there were two instances my baby struggled to breathe because she wasn't properly burped and had I put her to sit up right in a seat in one instance and to lay down in another. These times I ended having to rush with her to be nebulised Since then I have tried to burp her more often but at nights it has been quite a struggle. But I will be trying these techniques to see how it works out. Sometimes she does burp on her own but sometimes she just won't.

My exclusive pumping journey just came to an end this week, and the Mya Joy was one of the pumps I primarily used. I really do love it. It has strong suction and a quiet motor, and I loved being able to clip it onto my waistband. It’s size makes its perfect for pumping on the go - whether that’s at work, in the car, at a friends house, etc. It’s so small you can throw it in your purse or diaper bag. I almost exclusively used batteries to power it, too, and would just go up a level or two on the suction if needed. Both Medela and Dr Browns bottles fit onto the flanges which was super convenient. If I have another baby, this will be my first choice of breast pump. Love your videos :)

I’m so glad you commented this! I’m about to have my 3rd baby and am exclusively pumping again this time. I got different insurance and the only pump they covered was this one and I was getting nervous because I’ve only used spectra pumps. When I took the Mya Joy out of the box I got a little concerned it wouldn’t have a strong suction.
