The technique that killed BMX. We used to save that for the skateparks. Half the BMX track is a skatepark now. That is why so many walked away. Now, in 2023, we the people are pushing back and fighting for jumps for all and less tippy toeing across rollers. We fix this problem and we will see a major resurgence of BMX racers.
@SuperEddietv Жыл бұрын
And many quit BMX and the industry went into a tailspin because wheelies just aint bmx racing. Make sure your clipped in so you can tap dance over the rollers. Half the track, plus is rollers these days, 2023. Lame. The good news is the people are fighting back. Changes coming real soon.

When you say arms locke dout you don't mean literally locked out do you? See everyone says locked out and i kept trying to lock my arms straight but it doens't work. So when i relax my arms nearly straight it works perfectly.

Jared the jet Garcia? He grew up in the same area as me a couple years older but we rode the same local track in apple valley talented dude. I broke my arms and back in 2010 at 16 but I was on my way to be racing these guys. Rommel and Garcia were the two fastest dudes up here

Gary ellis would shred these guys on these kinda tracks. Tracks in the 90s were soft and rough. These tracks look perfect.
@getawaydriver53632 жыл бұрын
These races all seem the same. Get the hole shot win the race.
@Monee18856 жыл бұрын
Tracks are so much better now than the 90s. I remember soft tracks with the first turn being a sweeper turn. Been to too many nationals like that. Big reason why I stopped racing and only rode trails because at least trails were smooth...

Man I hear you.. I miss racing! I was 23 novice when I stopped I'm 37 now

I never just throw myself forward like that. I snap up with my head following with my shoulders on a 45 degree angle. Not that this is all wrong if it works for someone but you get much better momentum and a much smoother start on a 45 rather than just hitting the bars. I did see a few pretty big spills and busted knees though doing it like this if you arent careful.

Nice man, Literrally just purchased my bmx on the weekend. On mountain bike i'd consider myself quite good when it comes to jumping, downhill/xc. BMX looked easy, after getting on one I respect how much skill you guys posess. There is nothing easy about it haha.

level with the chain stay is not the best way, it limits the initial power. bring the pedal up towards the down tube a bit more gives you more time in a power stroke.
@Itsfixed997 жыл бұрын
If you do that you wheeely out of the gate
@Excitable1017 жыл бұрын
only if you don't know how to race, while you are through with the power stroke waiting for the other leg to crest i am still pushing and now in front of you.
@o0xjaymex0o7 жыл бұрын
Elmar Arnold If you snap a good gate you will always get the front up a few inches. Snapping with your front foot up a few clicks gives a significant amount of power and keeps it smooth. Just make sure you have a properly sized up bike so you dont lean or turn your bars and you'll get the holeshots.
