On hard mode unlocking stuff is easy just upgrade sharon a little and presto u got the whole game. I can rn farm everything in a week were i am at in the game all i purchased was the battle pass and used its buffs. Also leveling in the late game is instant and u do it constantly to mod things. Also this is the same as warframe the late game trivializes things

It's worth noting for those that are new to the game that you can earn crowns by daily rewards once you have reached level 12, but I have been told that you barely earn any crowns anyways this way.

Nice to see video about this game, this game really good, but not so popular as must be. I can say from experience that the monetization system used in this game is one of the best in the market. I'll explain why, you can't buy practically anything that makes a very big difference between players. Mostly these are cosmetic things or things created for convenience. Most of the other things you can get from the game, for example those women, you will become a pendant that increases the drop of women, you get them for free, you can also buy them for gold from npc or auction. 1000 motes costs like 89 gold, which is not a lot, well, maybe at the beginning, but not at higher levels :) The biggest feeling is the speed of the mount, but if you want speed, you can buy any premium mount from the shops, even the cheapest, and you will get 225% (normal speed is 150%) for all your for available mounts. , and crafting and gathering tools, but you can buy them from the game as well if you want, or there is a pack where you can buy those tools cheaper. We probably all understand that a 5% increase in statistics is not something like wow, besides that, you can get by without it :) there is no pvp in the game, you won't even feel it. Everything you buy is yours and there is no bigger money withdrawal device like in other games where you have to buy and buy and there is no end and it makes a big difference in the player's statistics. Subscription is optional, you can use it or not, it does not affect access to the game in any way. The game itself has been around for more than ten years, unlike games released in China, which with their aggressive monetization do not expand even once and are closed:) But this is the real worst monetization. Finally, the developers also need to cover the costs associated with the development and creation of the game, but this game has the most reasonable monetization. P.S. regarding the color of the mount, it's not the designer's laziness, it's the player's request that the mount matches the style :)

I've been casually playing for years, for free. I do have premium items which I purchased from other players for gold. I don't buy from the auction house where prices are unreasonable, but directly from other players in the game where the ratio is 10 gold to one crown (roughly 700 gold for extra vault space, and 3000 gold for premium mounts). Gold is most easily acquired through gathering and selling the gems found, and the monthly, calendars. The higher level the gather, the higher level the gems. Also, I collect mounts. Except for the one I bought from another player, my mounts have been obtained through event zones and raids. Now, they are also dropping off of zing mobs. Are health and mana pots necessary? Depends on the class, and who you play with. As a Water Shaman, I've had very few issues with health or mana and can give mana to those in my group through a spell as well as heal them. I would disagree that you need to purchase anything in this game for a true advantage and highly recommend playing it.

EA Servers will be separated from the regular servers. Premium currency AHs are not a big deal imho. In the past companies have been implementing them even in B2P titles ant that's a F2P game. If you want to buy a good gear with $ ... someone has to drop it first, be willing to sell it and the item itself has to be tradable. Which basically means that good players still will be ahead of the swipers. As you already mentioned - everyone can buy premium BP and leveling pass with use of the earned AH currency which makes the game really F2P friendly. You don't really need to spend anything to get everything. Maybe besides the unique EA cosmetics.

So im still pretty new to Albion, and im having an absolute blast but being able to buy gold and convert straight to silver is utter trash. Youre asking for your economy to just crash at some point. Ya know?

Well, yeah, you can pay and get some better equipment, but that doesnt mean that you will be able to kill a t4 experienced dude while you are using a full t6/7 set. Experience in the game is worth more than any equipment, and if you have only money and no experience you will lose it quite fast.

Man.. just what happened to 60$ game that has a great 30h campaign, 50+ side quests, 100+ dungeons, loot grind with random drop rates.. ? Just a complete fun game for 60$? Something like the old borderlands? It's breaking my heart seeing these "Free-to-play" games with their battle passes and stupid cosmetics.. the gaming industry is ruined forever. It really is the time to quit playing.

So far, from what I've understood, that's exactly how the Warframe market works. People buy and sell stuff for Platinum, the currency you get from spending money. Credits are the money awarded on missions and are only used for upgrading stuff, just like in Throne and Liberty. Is there anyone complaining about it? No, because it doesn't matter if someone is getting weapons by spending stuff since you can sell things you drop and get battle passes, skins, and more for free just by playing. Not to mention you can avoid farming some items or buying skins with real money by selling unecessary items you already have. It's only a matter of the currency starting to flow around in the game, and the market balances itself, just like in Warframe. So the beginning may suck, but it pays off in the long run.

the p2w part really is not that bad.. Im hard against P2W, i shit on this game wherever I can, but played the beta and there really is nothing P2W worth crying about.

Every mmo will givie some kind of advantage if you swipe, FFXIV has lvl boosts in the cash shop, in wow you can buy raid equipment in the cash shop. This is the best possible monetization for a f2p mmo, similar to Warframe market.. Swipe early in TL wil give you nothing, since the auction house will be empty, swiping late means you just will be buying from players that are way ahead of you.

I mean, making video games is a business and they have to earn money somehow. They are opting on giving people free access to the game with slower progression. Opposite of that would be paying $60 or $15 each month. If you want to go fully F2P you can, of course it puts you at a disadvantage in comparison, but that's a question of what matters to you. Are you super-competitive or not? You can play the game at your own pace F2P and enjoy many aspects of it. Paying for progression is of course P2W, but you don't need to compare yourself with the top 1% or top 5% of those that paid. You can play it for Free with like minded people. And maybe on occasion you cash in 1 battle pass, or 2 a year for extra progress if you feel like it. I mean you order pizza for ~$10 or go to cinema for ~$15. It's a question if it gives value to you and that's all. I'm very happy I get to try a new MMO without needing to pay an entry price. You can buy battle pass levels via Lucent too, 5000 Lucents and you have the all rewards instantly. Lucent is the main problem for p2w; but this game is lack of soul, very empty, boring mobile phone game usage. In general, it is very grindy, you do the same things over and over again, nothing is unique. Turning into animal non-stop is not so cool really. The game is solo gameplay mainly that no reason for players to form any party in open world.

this is pretty much a review from someone who barely, plays the game. . not a fair review, you need to atleast be a F2P and do end game contents and do challenges and do PVP with the so called P2W players,. to compare, let's say Diablo Immortal for example, end game f2p is not miles, lightyears aware vs p2w players. in this game you can win to someone with good build and proper skills.

If you pay for early access you will be on a different server than the players who join on release and early access players can’t switch. Further more swiping will give you like 2-3 weeks advantage since especially in endgame money can’t buy you everything so the p2w effect is rather small. The latest gear in KR can’t even be sold on the auction house.

Okay, so as someone who has played around 200 hours on this by now, on 2 separate leagues, I can tell you that it really does not matter. You can get most "pets" completely f2p that give the same perks as everyone else has, there are some that do give an advantage yeah, but I would not call it "Worst Microtransactions Ever" type of style. All in all, keep up the great content, but the game is free to play, it's not PoE level by any means, but it doesn't contain nearly as much p2w as people make it seem, thus ruining the game's reputation. (And I wanted to comment on " I just don't think it matters if you can still pay for the advantages" - They don't have a player base that is so huge where they can remove this, and I agree with you, this should not exist, but at least you can purchase it on the auction house) Sorry for the big ass yap and glazing this game, but honestly after a poe league gets boring it's really nice to jump in to this game, be in the late game really quickly, and just min-max builds, I would suggest giving it a shot for the random people out here :D (Also the true pro's of the game would be the fast-paced progression and min-maxing builds in my opinion, but I'm guessing the point here is the MTX side of things) Lastly, I would suggest to make a list displaying all the con's and pro's at the end of the video.

As I see and hear this... I have to tell you... Literally has a in game auction house where those items, the oblivion and respawn tokens, go for dirt cheap... Because they arent worth anything and if you need to use them you are likely not playing very well and should try an easier game

Personally, despite p2w and unfairness, it's still fun for me. I just play faction pvp, but even if I have tier 4 equipment on, I still find myself feeling like I'm useful and wanting to play more.I won't be good in combat, so I'll be using myself as a semi durable tank or a fairly helpful healer with blight staff. And even if people say I'll still be outclassed by better healers, it wouldn't matter in a blob. Any form of healing is still healing. Any form of Crowd Control is still crowd control. And even if you keep losing, you still get faction points because you participate. Not as much as the winning faction, but that doesn't matter because you retake your lost territory as quickly as you lose it. Does that mean faction pvp is useless or redundant? No! Because you'll always have a reason to fight Personally, the pay to win exists in this game is for those who don't have as much time to play it, but have money that they can waste it on. Yes people will pay to win just to be better, and that is fine because you're wasting money on literal polygons. But that's how people want to play it, so you can't blame it This game is a sandbox game. Play how you want to play. If your goal is to be the best free to play player, then go nuts. But you have to put in the effort. If you want to simply play for the interactions, the combat, the excitement, the fantasy of having to constantly be at war with a guild or a faction, then go ahead! There is no such thing as a wrong thing to do in albion because you are given the tools to do whatever it is you want. Just so happens that most things are locked behind a grind, but that's a sacrificial choice YOU have to make

I love those credit card swipers. Even though they used money to get high tier items and spec they still suck at pvp. They don't even know what their build does. They are like legendary loot boxes for me. Not only I don't have to spend a penny in the game, I'm even earning some pocket money by killing swipers and selling silver to other swipers. This game is real life sandbox mmo with no ethics. If you're gonna cry after losing your things don't play this game lmao.

"Its not about beating other players in pvp, its about beating the game". Tbh fking ablion is a silvermaking simulator. As soon as you get to midgame all you do is Fame farming and silvermaking xD. To try to beat the game is tbh just a waste of time. Most players goals are just: Spec up your favourable gear, make enough money to be able to buy bunch of t9 sets and just go with a little smallscale group and kill ppl. Or even just get yourself a 8.4 set and become a mist menace. Yes this fking game is nearly unplayable solo without premium. Thats why i recommend guilds (just dont try to get into a slavery guild which takes all your silver and time with mandatory content). And btw Premium funds itself. I grinded for 16m silver for a week, bought premium and it basecally paid itself back and i could buy premium the next month again.

Totally agreed with you. I'm a beta, legendary founder with more than 8000 hours in this game and its always been like that. I'd say it got worse with time. As people pump up gold from credit cards in the game, it cause an exponential increases of the value of silver that in-game items don't back up, which means poeple that aren't paying with gold have to work harder and harder for their subscription and gear. The biggest issue, is that there's no real item sink or season concept, and people don't lose their stuff, or reset, at each seasons, which means some guilds have massed so much resources that it now keeps snowballing into unlimited regear for its guild members. This favor only one gameplay style; get in a guild and be some meatshield for a guild that will need you to win territory over OR get ganked by other groups if you play solo and play the way you have fun. AO is a PvP game on 2 uneven grounds, first, in terms of quantity of adversaries, and then in terms of quality of gear, and there's no way to guarantee at any time that your experience will be considered fair, even if they try to do so, like in implementing corrupted dungeons, you will get those guys in 8.3/4 that credit swipe once to snowball resources so that they can play for free indefinitely. In all due respect, I can't like this game for PvP given there's too many uneven grounds, but the grind and crafting is what kept me around for more than 7 years. It as a good atmosphere, people can be nice, chat is edgy and funny like it should be in a MMO and its very socially oriented. It is a true sandbox at heart if can see it past that and there's definitely somethign for everyone there.
