Why Does Religion Do More Harm Than Good? Religions & Religious Zealotry have led to Millions of Unnecessary Deaths over the Centuries & From What I Can Gather No Good Has Come From It At All. Religious Men & Women Including Priests, Bishops, Cardinals, Monks & Nuns Have Over the Years Committed the Vilest Crimes of Physical & Sexual Abuse Against Children & Young People in Their Care. Quite Apart from Burning People Alive & Other Horrific Deeds Historically. The Pedophilia Has Been Going on for Centuries & Still Happening Today, These People Claim the Moral High Ground on Completely False Pretenses, They are Criminal Hypocrites. Religion is Responsible For More Death, Destruction, Torture, Burning of Information, Greed, Rape, Frauds, and Theft Than Anything Else Ever in The History of the Entire History of the World... The Historical Evidence Shows all This to be True... Sorry if You can't Understand This It's Not My Problem... “If You Think You Know Everything, You’ll Never Learn Anything,”

Falsely Attributed Writings are Often Referred to as "Pseudepigraphs" but Ehrman maintains that the more Honest Term is "Forgery". The Book Posits that 11 or more Books out of the 27 Books of the Christian New Testament Canon were Written as Forgeries. Various Early Scribes Altered the New Testament Texts in Order to De-emphasize the Role of Women in the Early Church, to Unify and Harmonize the Different Portrayals of Jesus in the Four Gospels, and to Oppose Certain Heresies (such as Adoptionism). Even After Nearly 2,000 Years of its Existence, and Centuries of Investigation by Biblical Scholars, We Still Don't Know with Certainty Who Wrote its Various Texts, When they were Written or Under What Circumstances. Contradictions: The Bible is an Unreliable Authority Because it Contains Numerous Contradictions. Logically, if Two Statements are Contradictory, at Least One of Them is False. The Biblical Contradictions Therefore Prove that the Book has Many False Statements and is Not Infallible. Sorry If You Can't Understand This it's Not My Problem... “If you think you know everything, you’ll never learn anything,”

The Bible is not a Reliable Historical Source Because it does not Meet the Standard Criteria of Source Reliability used by Historians. The Bible is Not, as many Believers Assume, Eye Witness Testimony. Reliable Sources are Generally Based on Authors Who Were Eye Witnesses to an Event (i.e. it is a Primary Source). Since Any Particular Source May be Fabricating Their Story, Multiple Independent Sources are Usually Required for Confidence. Establishing the Lack of Author Biases, Including Religious Motivations, is also Necessary if a Work is to be Read at Face Value. The Bible Satisfies None of These Requirements. Based on Historical and Archaeological Research, There are Known Historical Inaccuracies in the Bible. The Bible is Considered Mythological by Most Historians. Historians Know the Gospels are Largely or Entirely Myths Because They Share the Same Characteristics in That They are an Apparently Normal Story Except: The Text is Structured to Convey an Underlying Meaning, Usually to Convey some Political or Value System, Using Symbols that are Familiar to the Intended Audience. Refers to or Retells Other Myths and Stories but Often Some Aspects are Changed to make a Specific Point. Historical Improbabilities, Occurrence of Miracles or People Acting Unrealistically. Lack of Corroborating Evidence. People Do More Research on their Cars and Homes They Buy. But Not on the Religion They Live Life By... Blind Obedience is a Dangerous Thing... Christianity May Be Considered a Religion, But It Was Actually Developed and Used as a System of MIND CONTROL to Produce SLAVES That Believed God Decreed Their SLAVERY. DOING REAL RESEARCH WILL SHOW YOU IT'S ALL BEEN A LIE... And “NO” You Can't Use The Bible to Prove the Bible. That's Not How “TRUTH” Works. That's Using a Book of SORRY'S and LIE'S to Tell False TRUTHS... If You Can't Understand This It's Not My Problem... “If You Think You Know Everything, You’ll Never Learn Anything,”

Reliability is a source evaluation skill which asks you to draw a conclusion about the trustworthiness of a source. Evaluating historical sources for their reliability is important because it helps us to determine whether the information contained in the source is trustworthy. The first key points historians want to check about a source is whether the source is based on accurate knowledge and understanding. To do this, they might check whether the author was there at the time, whether the author was involved in the event, whether the author understood the overall context. Reliable information must come from dependable sources. According to UGA Libraries, a reliable source will provide a “thorough, well-reasoned theory, argument, etc. based on strong evidence.” Widely credible sources include: Scholarly, peer-reviewed articles and books. A credible source is one that is written by someone who is an expert in their discipline and is free of errors and bias. Reliability refers to the consistency of a measure. Psychologists consider three types of consistency: over time (test-retest reliability), across items (internal consistency), and across different researchers (inter-rater reliability). Sorry The Bible Does Not Do This... If You Can't Understand This It's Not My Problem... “If You Think You Know Everything, You’ll Never Learn Anything,”

I am new to CCC and did not attend this service in person but wish I would have. Thank you Pastor, for having the courage to address these issues with your Church. Thank you for sharing part of your personal story. I will also pray for your son that he will realize that the Word Of God is truth and that he will be healed if he asks God to heal him. I will pray that each and every member of your Church will have and show the courage that you did and stand up for the Word Of God inside and outside of the Church. I pray that we will all be and show that we are "the adults in the room" for the sake of our Country and our God and that we will show strength and courage to deliver Gods message to the world. Thank you Pastor Jay Cavaiani.

The Rich Man in Hell didn't see Abraham or Lazarus wearing crowns, because the Church Age hasn't started! The people who are killed by beheading in Revelation 6 are not wearing crowns because the Church Age is over! The only ones wearing crowns are the elders in Revelation 4&5. Elders are repentantion of the Church and the Congregation is the complete assembly. They are the CHURCH!!! They see all 7 seals opened in Heaven by Jesus as they celebrate. God bless and maranatha

I would like to chime in on this. I was listening because my son and daughter in law have been attending; so because doctrine is so important to me I thought I would check things out. I like that you believe in predestination, it is plain as day in scripture. I am not sure about end times stuff. But I sure would love for a rapture to happen. (Now would be awesome) This sermon was interesting and had some great messages. I doubt that I could persuade you from your current belief but when you talked about circumcision and how it relates to baptism, I think in terms of God’s covenant promise. Abraham was circumcised as an adult or new convert but then after that God commanded his people to circumcise the baby boys on the 8th day. They were going to grow up in the faith and the covenant promise. I think Baptism took the place of circumcision as well as becoming more inclusive in the sense of not only males but now females as well. I think that infant baptism would have been done and here is why: first because of the instances in the Bible where whole households came to be baptized. (That would include infants because why wouldn’t it? If you were going to raise your children in faith and know that it would be a work of God, kind of like when the guy who was paralyzed was lowered down through the roof by his friends who had faith for him and Jesus forgave him because of the faith of his friends) Also, because in the New Testament there is no instance of someone being baptized as an adult who was raised up in a Christian home as a believer. The only examples of adult baptisms were of new converts to faith in Christ. Also I think it would have been a given, something that was assumed, without need for a command, following in the footsteps of circumcision. So yes, it would be parents having faith for the child and raising them with the assurance of God’s promise and then the child would always be taught and reminded of their baptism as they witness other baptisms. Of course adults who are new converts should still be baptized. (Unless they were baptized as babies, that would still count) So here is one reason for this whole explanation: children who are taught to know and love the Lord usually don’t have a conversion event as an adult and I don’t think baptism should be a self expression, and that is what it kind of is used as. That is why I think infant baptism is good, because it is seeing that it is faith in God working salvation through the faithfulness of believing parents and in the life of the child. Also, it seems kind of weird to raise your child to love and know the Lord and have the mindset of “Well, they need to decide for themselves if they believe and then decide for themselves to get baptized”. I am not saying that they don’t think and use their own minds; they do need to own their faith but if they are raised in faith, their life is one of confidence in Jesus and they won’t have a need for a “conversion”. I think those baby dedications are a way for parents to fill that void of not baptizing them into God’s covenant family. 4 of my 5 grandchildren have been baptized in a Reformed Presbyterian Church and 1 of them has not been baptized. I know not to live by feelings but it just does feel better when they have been given to the Lord in baptism. Sorry for the long comment.✝️ oh also, do you have communion on a regular basis. I think that is also important as a church body.

Hi Theresa, I'm sorry for the delayed response to your thoughtful message! You ask some great questions and bring up some wonderful topics of discussion. Pastor Jay welcomes the opportunity to discuss either in-person or over the phone. Please give us a call and we can connect you and Pastor Jay - 262-968-1981. Also, related to baptism and communion - we regularly offer both baptisms (as well as child dedication for those to young for baptism) as well as regular communion. One other resource - we plainly list all of our theological positions on the church website: www.cometothecrossing.org - where you (or anyone) can view where we stand on most all issues. Again, we love to discuss these things and would welcome a conversation! Thank you, Theresa - you have a wonderful son and daughter-in-law! We love those two :-) Blessings.

Awww, thank you for responding and for your kind words about my son and daughter in law, hence the reason for my passion over infant baptism. They are the only ones of all of my seven children who won’t be baptizing their children as babies (even Hannah has never been baptized). She grew up in a home with similar teaching on it as you have. But I realize I probably won’t be changing your opinion on it. But RC Sproll does such a fantastic job making the case for infant baptism! Maybe this will some time go into a further discussion. But thank you again, Theresa

For 10 years I have treasured the concept of "what is happening now (especially to me) does not change who God is, what He is doing, or what He has done". ONLY faith counts! No matter what I am going through. BELIEVE, move forward in FAITH.
