I didn't have to wait long for my parts to arrive which was very welcome because we had moved very quickly from a leak to having no water. It took me considerably longer than 8 minutes to perform the repair that was largely die to the location of the boiler meaning I had to perform some impromptu yoga stretches to access the underside. All in all, I am very pleased with the outcome and the significant money saved.

I did post a comment on one of your videos but it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, i bought one of the valve repair kits and install it myself. Very easy process with the help of this video. My boiler no longer leaks (its been about a month now) and i even saved £5 by not having to pay excess on my homecare insurance. Thanks a lot!

Excellent service! The part and tools arrived very quickly and were perfect for the job. Easy to use, as shown in the video. I did have a slight problem as I hadn't put the central heating on before putting the boiler into standby so I couldn't remove the motor. An emailed query to Buycombi was replied to almost immediately and I even received a follow up email asking if I'd sorted it. 5 star service - highly recommended.

Question: How do you know if the actuator is working? Can you see it moving at all? Could be faulty motor! My problem is that the valve does not seem to divert water round the heat exchanger when hot water is called for. When using preheat it cycles on and off pumping water round the radiators! I cant see the plunger properly but hard to see if its going in and out even though the motor 'buzzes'.

Yup worked a treat. I would say, it's not 100% clear on the video how to get the motor detached from the valve as it looks like it just pulls out. It doesnt; watch how to attach the puller to the valve stem and do the reverse action to get the motor off the valve. Otherwise, grab plenty of towels (I had a mini flood when pulled the valve out), and save yourself a chunk of cash.
