Lovely videos as usual! Question for you - based on your and your buddy's experiences, which bike was better for the road trips between the mt09 your Duke 890 - if one bike stands out at all? There is this big debate regarding which bike is the best between the KTM and the Yamaha. We've got plenty of content online on the performances but rarely anything regarding longer distance trips. I'd love to know what's you guys overall road trip experiences with the bikes by sharing souvenirs and anecdotes. That'd make a great video for us to watch + surely a good time to remember funky moments with your buddy 😀

Hi there Can you use a "left bag" on the right side as well? I have austin racing exhausts and don't need that curved right bag (just hope the bar underseat won't go in yhr way of the pipes) Thanks!
@pavechaser9 күн бұрын
Would not work with the KTM bags, you would be better off getting an aftermarket set imo.

Motorcycle mechanic here. The seals don't care how much tension you keep on the front end during transit, as long as there's at least an inch of travel left in the forks to allow the oil to hit the seal when hitting bumps.

Carrying both hammock + tarp and a tent is good. Pretty much impossible when backpacking, definitely something you can only get away with when vehicle camping.
@pavechaser11 күн бұрын
Yes - this is why I tend to prefer motorcycle camping over regular backpacking! 😅
@wolf106611 күн бұрын
@@pavechaser I've done years of backpacking with tents. Now I'm an old fart and crawling in and out of a tent and sleeping on the ground is not great, so I've changed to hammock camping - but I'm also finding backpacking hard these days so more recently I've been motorcycle camping rather than backpacking - at sites I know I can find decent trees to hang a hammock from.

Know what you mean about some bikes being loaded up. We were riding our bikes to the Cold Kiwi Motorcycle Rally - which is Friday-Sunday, 2 nights of motorcycles, music and revels next to an active volcano covered in snow - and we saw a bike ahead of us that looked like the rider had a really chonky pillion behind him. Between the two panniers and the wide stack on the tail rack/rear seat that towered taller than the rider, it looked like a really large bloke on the back. Would hate to know what that felt like in the wind or on corners. Seemed like overkill for 2 nights, especially given I had everything I needed strapped onto my XT225 and it hardly took up any space at all.
@pavechaser11 күн бұрын
lol yea sounds like alot for 2 nights! 😛
@wolf106611 күн бұрын
@@pavechaser I had enough _empty space_ on the back of my tail rack that I regretted not bringing a folding chair, as it would have easily sat behind my tent. Fortunately, one of my friends turned up with an extra folding chair so I didn't have to sit on the cold ground.

Hey man, just found your channel, one of my subscribers sent it to me. I'm also in Moncton. Good video ! I will say, (I dont care at all) but the law says the managed ATV trails are off limits to dirtbikes and dual sports (the NBDRA is trying to fix the wording in the law, right now you cant even buy a trail pass if you have a dirtbike) The sled trails are open season in the summer for dual sports though. Nice camping set up, I got a hammock sent to me last year and really want to try it out. Food looked good and good job getting up that hill, did i hear you say, You cant turn OFF traction control? that would suck on those situations.... I was wondering what do you edit your videos with? and your videos on instagram, is there an app on your phone? thanks for sharing and i'm looking forward to checking out some more videos !
@pavechaser2 ай бұрын
Hey! There are some gray areas on using ATV trails. I’m pretty respectful on the trails, and don’t use them a lot so I tend not to worry too much. 🤷♂️ There are different modes on the KTM, and I’m not sure if I figured out how to turn the trash control off completely but it tends to work out OK on this type of trail! I use adobe Premier Pro for video editing. Hopefully I have some more videos coming soon! Cheers! 🙂✌️
