Why not do a diesel swap bro? Keep the truck you're used to, but beef it up, saves you the money and hassle of the in between on having to sell or trade in. My buddy did a diesel swap with a Cummins motor out a junk yard into a 1994 cavalier. I know your big ole gal has the room for a diesel swap lol.

"very rusty on this machine" as you approach the rusty bucket. Lol and these comments got me laughing 🤣 I'm operating a skid first time this coming Thursday and it's gonna be a 12 hour shift so hopefully I do well enough. Thanks for the tutorial man I'll probably come back to this a few more times.

12 hrs is plenty of time to learn. Make sure you grad in front of you and work our way threw. Don't start at the very end and work your ay back. It's always easier when your flat from the start.

Trial & error is not a good way to discover the workings of your tractor;;--- they are powerfull & dangerous. The "OPERATORS Manual" is a VERY Nessary starting Point---not so much U-tube Vidios. I refer to mine often,( almost 95%memorized) with aproxamitly 100 hours of studying to 900hrs of TRACTOR use === No problems human or machine. Thank you for the great Video Sir and happy safe tractoring.

You probably already know this but your loader control also has a “float” position. If you find yourself picking up anything heavier than the small amount of firewood you moved I would seriously consider a counter weight on the back of the tractor as that will eliminate premature wear on the front axle, steering components, bearings and tires. I welded 3 1/4 inch chain hooks along the top of the bucket and 5 teeth along the wear bar on the bottom. The teeth might not be something you need but the hooks come in very handy. If you decide to use the hooks reinforce the top of the bucket first by welding a piece of 1/4 inch plate steel on the back side of bucket to leaving about 1/2 inch gap at each end for water drainage. The reinforcement plat would measure approximately 47 inches by 2 - 3 inches. I noticed that the top of your bucket is bent so straighten it before welding the reinforcement plate to it. I straightened mine with a sledgehammer. If you decide on hooks buy a short piece of chain and hook it to the outside hooks on the bucket. Then attach another chain hooked to whatever you are pulling to the center of that short chain creating a bridal effect rather than attaching it to one hook in the center of the bucket. You can still use a single hook on the middle of the bucket for light loads but I would definitely use the bridal setup for heavier loads. I bought my 2320 new in 2009 so I speak from experience.

The metal lever located by your left heel is a differential lock for the rear wheels, it has nothing to do with the front wheels. You should be moving in forward or reverse when you push down on it and both rear wheels will engage and remain engaged as long as it is depressed. The small lever next to the parking brake lock is a cruise control. If you are driving a smooth road you can engage this and it will retain what ever speed your engine was running at the time you engaged it. You can manually disengage it or step on the gas to disengage it. I never use the glow plugs unless the ambient temperature drops below 60 degrees and then for only approximately 3 seconds.
