Bull Bitcoin allows to deposit via Canada Post to save anonymity and I know many use this but I still do via transfer + more Canadian retailers to buy gift cards with BTC. I'd say Bitcoin Well is more transparent since it's a public company if it matters to you. I also use use their bitcoin savings plan. At the end of the day, I use both of them to buy Bitcoin in Canada and I recommend both, so give them a try and see which one is best for your needs or you can use both at the same time like I do. Hello, just a quick question, so I use newton and trustwallet here in canada as binance is banned in Ontario. So suppose I transfer btc to trustwallet from newton and afterwards I swap btc to bnb smartchain and buy any memecoin with that bnb smartchain coin and then after sometime I swap back the memecoin with bnb smartchain and bnb with btc and then transfer my gains from trustwallet to newton again and from newton to my bank account. So how am I getting taxed here? Like at which steps will I be taxed, do i get taxed from transferring coins from a wallet to wallet, or will be taxed each time I swap a coin with another? Also, I've heard that we have to save receipt of each and every transaction whether its a wallet transfer or a coin swap? Is it true? Looking forward for your reply.. cause I desperately want to try my luck trading crypto but I'm afraid as I don't have sufficient knowledge regarding taxes here in Canada

How should I go about cashing out my crpyto (USDT, ETH, ADA) from Binance to my Canadian bank? I haven't touched crypto in so long, not sure what's the best way nowadays. Do I just send them to a Canadian exchange, sell for fiat, and then withdraw? Which exchange would you choose just for this purpose? FYI I'm from BC, my bank is RBC. Thanks in advance!

Yes, Binance left Canada a while ago and you described pretty much a good process. Probably, best choice for crypto withdrawal in Canada would be NDAX (0.2% fee - ocryptocanada.ca/cryptoexchages/ndax) or Coinbase (ocryptocanada.ca/exchanges/coinbase) as far as I know their withdrawals fees are low. Keep in mind, you won't be able to transfer USDT to Canadian exchanges since USDT is banned, so you'll need to convert it into USDC. If Binance does not allow to convert, then transfer USDTs to Bitget (ocryptocanada.ca/exchanges/bitget) and convert with Bitget. You can also withdraw Canadians dollars with Bitget by using P2P but the process is more complicated.

Made a mistake sending money to Kraken since I'm Canada. if your with TD your only option is WIRE EThana custody but don't know much about it. Cant use E transfer from U.S to Canada only works Canada to Canada. So my next step would be one of the Canadian exchanges. I will transfer Bitcoin to Canadian exchange that way I can use E transfer to transfer bitcoin to the TD bank after the conversion to cash. CAD. I will watch your vid now.

Gonna just ignore the 2% fee for every Buy & Sell Transaction on BitBuy? Also, that .5% spread is kinda bad. Gonna be digging yourself into a hole right off the bad just getting into a position... making you need to make at least 3% profit just to break even on a trade (Buy 2%+.5%, Sell .5%). And a 1.5% fee to cash out!?

indeed not the cheapest crypto exchange in Canada, it's recommended as best under safety & security category, that's why I recommend Bitget if exchange fees is your major factor

Impressive proof of reserves: bitbuy.ca/proof-of-reserves The rest of security features are somewhat similar compare to other crypto exchanges including NDAX.

I found it somewhat distasteful to have a 1.5% withdrawal fee, so Bitbuy is a non-starter. Does Bitget have any withdrawal fee? Do they cover their network fee for transferring out crypto? And to qualify for the referral bonus do you need to deposit cash or just crypto worth of $500 or more at market value?

Bitget has maker/taker fee which is 0.1% so yeah way lower than Bitbuy. They don't cover network fees though. In order to qualify for the referral bonus I believe both methods work, but let me know if you don't receive bonus and I'll contact their support.

No, crypto to crypto transaction is treated as a taxable event in this case. Koinly or Coinledger will calculate your gain (or loss) in this case.

what are you goals after trasnfering? 1. if you would like to withdraw your coins to Canadian bank account , then transfer all the coins to USDC and transfer then to Bitbuy (ref link: ocryptocanada.ca/cryptoexchanges/bitbuy ). After you can convert USDC to Canadian dollars and withdraw to your bank account 2. if you would to use the same coins and continue crypto trading then use Bitget, it's a pretty much equivalent to Binance (ref link: ocryptocanada.ca/exchanges/bitget )

@@yanina4915 Binance is currently banned from trading in Canada, but you should be able to withdraw your assets. You can also use a VPN with the IP address of the country where you registered your Binance account, and transfer your funds to either Bitbuy or Bitget.

F'in government, this is the complete opposite why Crypto is built in the first place. Before governments don't give a shit about Cryptocurrency, they always say it's a pipe dream. Now that Bitcoin is about to hit 100k a piece everybody wants to dip their fingers in it even the banks. Tnx Satoshi for the dream, but now the same people/government trying to FUD it for years is now slowly creeping inside the Crypto world like a f'in virus.

Absolutely. But a lot of ppl see crypto as an investment mainly as a quick way to make some cash through its ups and downs. Plus, many end up moving their crypto earnings into Canadian banks in fiat.
