I saved my ruscus from a bouquet 3 years ago, kept it in water and its still alive. My daughter did the same when she got hold of some, and its still alive as well, with just one leaf that dried. My coworker can't believe it! How is it even possible?

Yes :) but it is waterproof, so it can get wet after !

Oh I see you mean distinct plants! The best way when being specific is to go by scientific nomenclature… some folks call chrysanthemums a “daisy” if it’s a spray mum… sometimes they call chamomile a daisy, so for clarity best to use official names!

Sorry for the dumb question. But if you’re patting the water out onto a paper towel , do you keep doing it until as much of the moisture is out as possible, or just until the pulp is flat? I’m totally doing this for my own business cards and using local seeds I got from the library 🥰🥰

May I ask is this the same way to open up spray roses too? I bought a beautiful bouquet of spray roses but they never fully opened up. .instead they started to wilt and dry up while in the vase .. Thanks!

Yup you can for sure! With spray roses some little buds will never open, but with the main blooms, yes same technique!

They lasted but were quite delicate - I read hair spray would make them last longer!

if they are fluffy then they are full of seeds :( So essentially you can't use them if you don't want seeds spreading. Where I live (Canada) its too cold so they won't root/spread because of the temperature here, so the seeds isn't a problem

Is there anything you can use to seal the floral tape once wrapped? To keep it in place, sure but to cover that tackiness that never goes away? Over time that wax does start to release, especially where I am, with our awful climates but the tackiness picks up lint and everything it touches and I need to stop that from happening for the projects I need it for.
