Is everything the same on a 1999 Chrysler LHS 3.5? Ive got oil in my coolant, and overheating. I'm a paint and autobody technician and im thinking about tackling this myself after getting quotes to replace head gaskets. Thanks. Great video btw.

You need a flywheel on the engine and a safety value to release pressure.

Does the transmission kit comes with a manual and what company you purchased it from or are there websites to buy manuals on different transmissions

My spark plug keeps getting stuck in the insert. So when i go to back out the plug, the insert comes out too. Gonna try using a plug without the crush gasket. Worst part is i don't even know if the car eill run after all this bullshit.

Does the battery need to be disconnected before replacing the ignition lock cylinder for the bolts where the clamp is?

Great video Matt. At 17:04, you hold up a part that you had to buy from the dealer; do you know the name of that part and/or have the part number? Thanks for your help. 😀

Those head gaskets are graphite coated and that's the stuff that transfers to the head. It makes a great seal, especially on pitted heads but its tough to change out. Fel-pro has a different style coating, more of a rubber clad.

How does this work if you remove the fuel line from the motor? How does the motor run with this on the end of the fuel line?

@8:30 when you move the engine back and forth, did you remove the front bolt from the Bottom Mount (Bone) to move it easier? I know in 2001 Saturn SL2 they remove the bolt fm the wider (front) part of the bone to move the engine to the front (it is in the procedure of replacing the Intake Manifold there). So I think if to remove that bolt it may be easier to pull the engine to the front in 2003 Chevy Cavalier as well. I also need to replace the Top Engine Mount. Thank you for the great film.

Glad I watched the video, and thanks for posting it. I haven't replaced a lower control arm in about 15 years, so this video helped. My daughter called me yesterday morning and asked if I'd look at her car. She said her 1996 Grand Am sounds strange and does some really weird stuff when she pushes on the brake pedal. Which turned out to be a broken Control Arm... She stopped by, so I took the car, with her in it for a short test drive, but I really put my foot down on the brake pedal because just lightly braking sounded like a worn out inner pad & a bad Caliper. So pressing really hard on the pedal just about put the car 10 feet into the other side of the road, so I was glad she came by... So we'll repair it this weekend. So thanks again for the video...

How on earth did you get a vacuum reading from that hose after popping it OFF of the intake manifold??? Isn't that it's vacuum source!?! I'm generally confused now...

its the best, to the point video on subject....covers each and every defect that a vacuum guage can detect....yes, it doesn't discuss why part but at the same time, gives you clear lines hiw to interpret the guage readings....❤❤❤

Also make sure that you put the car in neutral before putting on the handbrake, then put the car in park, otherwise the strain will still be on the gear and not on the brakes.

The rear suspension bushings are all dry rotted and have to be replaced in my 1998 Chrysler Cirrus LXi I’ve only had the car 5 months. I bought it with only 17,700 original miles on it. I really love my car. And want to keep it for quite awhile. The front suspension I’m not doing. Bug I will tackle the rear myself. It’s not nearly as complex as the front. Maybe I’ll post a video of the me taking on the rear suspension. Everything is all original from the factory 26 years ago. It will be interesting if nothing else

I have a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus LXi and the entire front suspension has to be rebuilt. I was thinking about replacing the lower ball joints myself. The rubber boot is completely gone on the passenger side. After watching the video. I’m taking it to the mechanic. It’s to much for me to do. And looks like a huge pain in the ass. I’d rather pay the money than deal with the frustration of that job. But it was a good video. I saw that you replaced the whole lower control arm. Are the lower ball joints the non serviceable type that can’t be pressed out of the lower control arm ? Thanks I enjoyed it 😊

Thank you so much for putting up this series. I am getting ready to jump into this project today. the only difference is mine is a GT. I am just a shade tree mech that has been wrenching for 45yrs on my personal car. The stretch bolt are the head bolts not the rocker arm bolts unless the GTP is different and both are stretch. 😀🤔🤨
