So, I went to the Geeks, they are charging $200 for the repair. I was willing to pay. Then they increased it to $500. I took my phone and money and am now look to do this myself.

I use that resin all of the time, you didn't use it properly. That crack was also way to deep

My switch is 4 yrs old and I think it's time for a new battery. I started sending these things into the shops for repair but got tired of paying a lot for a simple fix. I started doing stuff like this my self and it gets easier the more you tinker with electronics. If I'm not sure I practice on the kids device first them on my own.

If all else fails, follow directions. You are dealing with chemistry. Why not READ the instructions and FOLLOW the instructions.

FYI for Battery Swelling - If you are replacing a swollen battery it may have damaged the back cover of the switch and won't completely reattach. There are 3 prongs poking out from the back cover for each respective screw (2 bottom, 1 top). If your old battery was swollen and making the back cover visibly bend/bow out, the top prong is probably broken. That means when you put everything back together, the top screw will not screw in.

How can you even say if it worked or not if you didn't follow the directions for application? 🤔

Thank you for the video! I just finished mine, however the screen came together with a new frame so it requires transferring all the parts over, including the buttons. Take your time and unlike me, don't break the back cover/glass. I'm not using the phone anymore everyday, replaced the screen to gain access to sensitive information that couldn't disappear. Have a good one!

My switch won’t turn on at all. My computer doesn’t recognize it when I plug it in when trying to put it in RCM mode using the tegra program. Does anyone here think replacing my battery will turn it on?

The applicator presses and opens up the crack allowing the liquid to get into the damaged area. Leave the applicator in place, you will see the fluid travelling up the crack, don't run the fluid on top of the crack as you did, let the applicator do its thing. Once the cracks are invisable place on the film and harded in the sun, or better still under a uv light. If a part of the crack still shows move the applicator over the crack and do that bit. once you have an invisable crack it wont be strong, it only makes the crack invisable, fit a glass screen protector. Worked for me on a Samsung
