No need for masking or extensive masking IF you have an airbrush *and* you can regulate your air pressure. Saves hours if you just free-hand the camouflage.

@@apmodel4137 you've put the wheels on the wrong way round..the small return roller should be facing to the rear...look at the kit instructions and look at the way you'v put yours on...

This is not the model that fougth in 1973. The loader mount for 0.3 caliber machine gun entered service in 1975 as study conclusions on the 1973 conflict.

Quando for pintar peças de acrílico sugiro que você use tintas a base de Água! Por exemplo você nesse caso poderia ter usado uma tinta vitral Verde a base de Água , você evitaria que a pessa ficasse fosca 👍

Nice build. Great paint job. You noted a highlight of the Olive Drab colour with White added (4.32), a nice touch. Just a thought...Before applying the True Olive Drab (1.33)...Add a Dark colour (perhaps dark blue &/or even a touch of black) to the Olive Drab and apply this first for the deep areas of the model & then proceed with the actual Olive Drab. This would provide even more contrast/s...your/anyones thoughts..? Look forward to my own build of this model.

Well done. I must note, however, a mistake in the plans regarding the orientation of the seat side armor. The angled corner should be oriented to the lower forward position. Multiple pictures of vietnam-era hueys show proper orientation very clearly. Great work!

Nice beginning to an upgrade. The M113A3 went to an improved drivetrain, the engine is now a Detroit Diesel 6V53T (turbo charged), with a combined transmission/differential unit, the Allison X-200-4A which eliminates the need for the transfer gearcase and front differential used on the M113A1 to A2. The 6V53T engine is rotated 180 degrees on the A3. This kit still uses the older 6V53 with transfer gearcase at the "rear" connected with the Allison TX-100 transmission along side the motor, and the differential up front.,

Came out really nice. The weathering really pulled the scheme all together. I remember seeing pictures of a group of king tigers sitting in a field with that camo scheme.
