Yes, I must agree, I myself own this model and it is fantastic. The silver metallic paint, the scissor spring hood hinges and the 383 inside. The nicest Road Runner made in 1:24 in my opinion. Enjoy.

Das Modell habe ich so überarbeitet, dass es ohne Probleme durch 72er Radien fährt. Zunächst werden die Koppelstangen auf einer Lokseite gelöst und die Räder um 90° versetzt. Die Kegelräder habe ich komplett entfernt. Als nächstes habe ich beide Seitenverkleidungen abgebaut und alles um 2 Noppen nach oben befestigt. Den Unterbau der Seitenverkleidung habe ich so unterfüttert, dass die Lok auf 8W kommt, die Bogensteine über den großen Treibrädern habe ich um 2 Noppen nach unten versetzt und alles entsprechend ausgekleidet. Obwohl der Vorläufer nur 2mm über der Schiene schwebt habe ich durch die Verbreiterung so viel Platz geschaffen, dass die Räder der Vorläufer zwar sehr dicht neben der Verkleidung laufen, jedoch am Drehen nicht behindert werden beim Drehen. Den Tender habe ich komplett umgebaut. Zunächst habe ich den Tender von 6W auf 8W verbreitert und etwa um das doppelte verlängert. Beide Drehgestelle lassen sich nun wirklich drehen, beim längeren Drehgestell befindet sich der Eisenbahnmotor, im Tender ist die Akkubox. Leide kann ich keine Fotos beifügen, dann könnte man es ggf. nachbauen, wenn man Lust dazu hat. Gruß Ron

Pretty nice, but if you want to see absolute perfection check out Franklin Mints version. They have a Christine model and an actual 58 in the Buck skin Beige paint. FM's cars like 12 years ago were a little over $100 not sure what they are today.

Nice video, you seem to be one of a few people that has knowledge about these sets. Do you know how many of the 1/18 scale sets there are? The ones I know of are: Big Foot Rodger Dodger Purple Passion Bone Shaker Muscle Bound Mod Rod Street Rodder Twin Mill Pontiac Firebird Aston Martin Vulcan I'm trying to find out what 1/18 sets are out there so I can collect them all. I cant seem to find a lot of info the Hot Wheels Wiki Page doesn't even list all of them. They don't have Twin Mill and Aston Martin listed. I really enjoying building these sets and wish there was more. I love the fact the graphics are printed onto the blocks so you don't have to use stickers. My only complaint is the blocks don't go together as nice as Lego, but the cars and details are heaps better than Lego and I am a big Lego fan. Out of this list I still need: Twin Mill, Pontiac Firebird (Really want this one), Purple Passion and the Aston Martin Vulcan. Doesn't seem like this series has taken taken off to well here in Australia.

The firebird is planned for release in the US at the end of July. They are listed at target for preorder. The Aston Martin was just released in Germany and other Countrys. Mattel isbmessing up distribution as always. In Germany you might get only around 50% of the Mega stuff. However i uploadedva review with english subs for the Pontiac Firebird if you are interested. 😎

This would be a good starting point for building an accurate model of the roadrunner. But it is clearly lacking in detail when it comes to drive train, engine bay, trunk and underside. Added wiring can be made of soldering iron.
