This is not the problem what is happening here. The problem is that people get lacked up like they have no rights like other people. Getting help should not mean being arrested and put into a prison called psychiatric hospital and have drugs and procedures forced on your body by being attacked by guards and nurses. A person should have a choice to what care they accept and what they refuse and how long they stay in a facility or if they want to stay at all. As long as a person can communicate in any way they are able to make decisions for themselves.

This is unbelievably messed up. The We dont have room at theis time is pretty common but a kid getting a court ordered psych eval is an urgent sutuation. They should have made room. If i were the cop, i would have made sure the transfer of custody was completed and not left till it was. This could have ended very badly.😮

Youngkin said the Constitution already protects access to contraceptives and earlier suggested language that would make access to contraception a policy rather than law. The state's Democratic Party said Youngkin's veto will harm Virginians. "Gov. Youngkin just proved to Virginians that, once again, he does not care about their health or rights," Virginia Democratic Party chair Susan Swecker said in a news release posted on X. "Contraception is used to manage a wide variety of health conditions," Swecker said, "and by choosing not to protect it, Youngkin is hurting thousands of people." Youngkin also vetoed bills that would have removed property tax and recordation tax exemptions for the United Daughters of the Confederacy. A recordation tax levies a tax on the sale of property, and the recordation and property tax exemptions have been law in Virginia since the 1950s. Youngkin said the vetoed measures specifically target the UDC and allowing them to become law would establish an "inappropriate precedent." Overriding Youngkin's vetoes would require support from GOP lawmakers. Virginia law requires a two-thirds majority vote in the House.
