The gates are a preference per player for fighting games. I prefer square gate with sanwa buttons and joystick.

They have a lot of great games but missing a few, r type, zoo keeper, qix to name a few. But awesome either way.

Man this is my old stomping grounds! I grew up in Irving and I lived near Belt line and Story road. The Irving mall was awesome 20+ years ago. I too am 46 years old and it’s crazy to see how that mall has changed. I used to work at the GameStop across the street from the mall too. Also Arlington was another place I frequently visited because my best bud lived there. He lived near the Forum mall and we’d walk there all the time. Thanks for the nostalgia! I do miss those good old Irving days

I have lost two of the malls I visited as a youngster. Both in Arlington, TX. I visited both frequently to go to the movies and worked in a restraunt. The Forum Mall and Six Flags Mall. They have both been demolished and turned into industrial wear houses.

I have never been to a Chuck E Cheese but back in the 80's we had a Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center based on the characters from the Bullwinkle cartoons. They not only had a animatronic show but the show was on a rotating stage with different characters and a water & light show in front of the stage. There are 3 still left according to Wikipedia but I haven't been to any of those, apparently they've been removing the animatronics.

Today, I found out that there's one last Aladdin's Castle location in the world. It's in an Illinois mall if I remember. Edit, I found out that it closed in 2022 probably because the mall it was in was somewhat dead-ish.

Howdy ya'll, As for animatronics or a giant TV screen, without a doubt, or even having to think about it, hands down, Animatronics, I'm very disappointed to see Chucky Cheese, changing the all so popular animatronics, to a boring TV screen.. I haven't been to a Chucky Cheese in years, but always enjoyed going, however my favorite was Bullwinckles, good pizza, great animatronics show, and the arcade Classics were always working, plus I really liked the layout way better than Chucky Cheese, Bullwinckles had many levels, Including the eating area, where you watched the show, every seat in the house, could easily see the stage, without having to look over anyone, ya, I definitely miss Bullwinckles, was very disappointed when they closed it down, Great video as always, Stay safe, God Bless and game on my Friends 🕹

Mike, if you could get your hands on a "Castlevania: The Arcade", that would be my holy grail. I actually played this at Galloping Ghost. The game play isn't exactly ground breaking, but just the fact that an arcade machine like this exists just blew my mind.

One upgrade I might suggest would be to rig it so the user can choose between Mugen and the original SF1 arcade experience when starting up. Just so people can experience how poor it really was.

It's not finished until you've done latency tests and latency mitigation. And it would be helpful to measure the frame input latency of your M1K cabinet versus the original MK1,2,3,4. You might find that the action has been compromised at the most basic level.

Just curious on any updates you have about this cabinet?

I always wanted to play this as a kid but it was $4 a play and that was nearly half of my arcade money.

Etsy has plans for a 70" upright cabinet with a console ans keyboard tray.. however there is pedestal console that would really be a better fit if you could combine the two so the console is detachable.

I just scored one of these from a friend for only $600, fully restored. Watching this video makes me appreciate all of the work he put into it and what a deal I got. Of course my wife thinks I'm a fool who got ripped off on the deal no matter what... God I hate her. LOL.
