Nasty messy trees. I call them chipmunk trees assuming that’s how they get planted but they grow fast, make a mess and have a penchant for black tar fungus.

Are there no squirrels in your neighborhood? In my neighborhood the squirrels eat all the mulberries before they’re even ripe. Us humans never even get a chance at them, lol.

I've planted 2 and both have died off ..planted in full sun approximately 70/80 degrees here in Michigan, love the shrub ,but to expensive to keep trying to grow
@thegardenfix2 ай бұрын
That's interesting. We invested in about 10, all thriving. I pretty much chucked them in the ground. Some in part shade, some in full sun... in fast draining clay soil. I wonder what happened with yours.

Have you started this plant from seeds? I have some seeds ready to go and would love any tips! 💚
@thegardenfixАй бұрын
We didn't. This is the result of a tiny store bought plant from a single flat container. It has grown...and we have divided it. I hope you decide to grow it. I'm sure it would be easy for ya. 😊👍

I got some lungwort from a neighbour and it's just lovely! I do think it needs a bit more water than what my garden naturally provides, so something to keep in mind when considering a spot for lungwort! Thanks for the video! 😊
@thegardenfixАй бұрын
We haven't had that problem. The only time ours really wilt is when it gets too many hours of sunlight. As the summer passes, I try to make sure some plants are giving it some shade. It could be because we get a lot of rain in Western Pa. Maybe we don't dry out as quickly.

Not weird at all. Very lovely. I’m glad you left the Lupines last. I have baby ones and I want to just put them out everywhere. They are so beautiful. My first time growing (winter sowed) and I live in 6b MO. I want them to come back every year. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden. I know it’s hard to stop sharing with the attention span of us KZfaqrs 😊. Wonderful job!!!

Hi, and thank you for the comments. So, baby Joe did have a second round of blooms. But, they weren't nearly as impressive as the first. You can see a little bit in our video called "early fall garden tour" at around the 2;35 mark.

Using containers with non-clear lids seems counterproductive. Milk jugs are used because they are mostly transparent. Those light blue totes would block sunlight.
@eastcoast42333 ай бұрын
Before someone says… 😊 I saw that the blue lid totes did germinate, though some of that success maybe due to what was sown in them rather than the container itself. May have grown better with transparent lid for more light.
