If it’s drift then a 10$ bottle of wd40 “contact cleaner” will fix it. Apply liberally on the underside of the analogue stick. No disassembly required, though if you have the guts for it, it’ll be a lot more effective with way less juice.

@@GamesWithAllan doubt anyone would think less of you for it. It's the sort of thing you pick up on working in a service center. Just make sure you get the green "contact cleaner" variant. It's important, because it's means to clean metal contacts, and avoid damaging plastics. Any other wd40 will make the plastics start softening up. You have to get this particular kind, as it's silicone lubricant based, instead of oil lubricant based, which will cause plastics to try to return to oil form, and because the detergents it contains are meant for metals and plastics. If you use the regular wd40, it won't work as well, and it'll likely die horrible half a year later from plastics softening. Make sure to get the right stuff.
