Skopje did not exist in the age of Alexander. Pella is the hometown of Alexander, it is in Greece. Skopje has no connection whatsoever with ancient Macedon. It was a Hellenic kingdom. Slavs came to Europe 1.000 years later. All statues and monuments in Skopje were built recently to "create" a fictional connection with antiquity. The real ancient sites of Macedon are in Pella, Vergina and Philippi, in Greece. They are protected by the word heritage convention of unesco, their archaeological authenticity is undeniable and reveal the Hellenistic heritage of Macedon.

Well, Skopje existed during the age of Alexander the Great, the area where Skopje is located was known as Scupi. Alexander the Great was born in Pella, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Macedon. The association of Skopje with Alexander the Great is largely a result of modern political and cultural narratives. Macedonia, as part of its national identity, has emphasized its connection to the ancient Kingdom of Macedon. We can add Thessaloniki, founded by Cassander, one of Alexander's generals, and an important city of Macedon. The bottom line is that this is a travel video, not a historical documentary.

@@SeyyareTV Scupi was a Roman city, the Romans came after Alexander. Please refer to archaeology and history for accurate information. The association of Skopje with Alexander the Great is non-existente. It is a product of fiction, created by North M. for political reasons. Today, North M. has officially aknowledged that it has no connection at all with ancient Macedonia, with the Prespa Agreement. The country has declared to be a South Slavic nation, whereas the ancient Macedonians were Hellenes, i.e. Greek.

I eloped to France Paris , from Canada..... two little girls were in the park when we said our vows... after they came up with their mom... they both handed me a picture they drew of us getting married, they didn't speak any english.... i still have those pictures, now in frames on my wall ....i have kids now , i tell them this story.... and if by slim chance you may see this... thankyou ❤ France will always have a place in our heart
