I wish he mentioned upward patella fixation. This is a pretty common stifle problem that is somewhat obvious if you know what to look for.

Every animal on the planet is designed by God. Horses are the only animal that can blow blood out of their nostrils without any harm. It might seem like weird science but it's created by GOD.

Hi, My name is Alisa I am located in Bulgaria I had an accident. My colt is 1 year and 6 months old. Not yet ready for being gelded. An accident was that he tried to nip me and I had shaped him on his nose with a whip, he somehow turned while that motion to the whip and the whip accidently had got his eye. The next day on the end down side of his eye 👁 got some blurriness, not a full eye so it is not a cataract. Surely the cornea had got damaged. The local vet prescribed some drops and rivanol paste from the vet pharmacy but neither are working. I had found in Russia some drops that are available to be bought from pharmacy and is for that sort of damages of eye cornea damage etc. There are prove that many animals like horses, cats and dogs been healed in 10 days, and saved from being operated by vets. Ideally I am going to get those drops soon, but till then is there any sort remedies at home that I can do, at least slightly to releave the pain so on?

Well I wanted to actually SEE the stifle area but then I got distracted by the horse behind him, which I thought was there for an example, and was wondering why the horse looked drugged and why it kept doing that with it head,? I don’t think this was a very good video

I've got a three year old Philly Pacer and I was wondering the vets already did the pain block sacraliac region . She got the turns a little better she's not hiking her back legs in the turnd as bad. Numbness stretch or back stretch you know in a straight line basically she can really close doesn't appear to be crossfire or enough pain. Would you inject the hocks or the whirl bone first

I was a professional brewer for many years. "Spent grains" are a byproduct of the brewing process. These grains consist of mostly malted barley and occasionally some wheat. Prior to arriving at the brewery, barley is malted. This process consists of steeping the barley in warm water until it sprouts (enzymes are activated), then the barley is dried and the rootlet is knocked off. Just like sprouted grain bread has a higher nutritional value than regular bread, sprouted barley also would have a higher nutritional value. During the brewing process, much of the starch in the barley is converted to fermentable sugars in the mash, however in the spent grain byproduct, a considerable amount of sugar, protein, starch, fiber, and other nutrients still exist. I mention all this because a local farrier named Travis had a horse with 27 sarcoids that was completely sarcoid free after eating spent grains exclusively for two weeks. The horse also put on a little weight. I would encourage folks to try this out. Most small, local breweries would be happy to give you some spent grains. Fresh is best. Find out what days they are brewing and bring a couple clean 33 gallon trash cans with you to haul it away. Hopefully this will help others.

One of my buyers just reported she lost one of my homebred babies. The 3 year old Hanoverian mare's kidneys were destroyed by Bute. As a 2 year old, she had surgery and was put on this as per the vet advice. Not sure what happened, as she was boarded off location, but it did a number to her kidneys and she just died this morning. Beware of Bute!!!

I'm assuming a murmur would end a racehorse's career? My horse was just diagnosed with one on his right side, and I'm thinking perhaps that's why they retired him. Though, I haven't had him that long so I wouldn't know...Lucky me

It varies greatly case by case. Thoroughbreds are prone to murmurs.

I have been using "Babies magic tea" for my super colicky newborn and it worked like a charm by soothing him completely from horrid colic episodes. In this tea fennel and cumin are used which are best for digestive issues and colic in babies.

hi, we are trying to help a 5 month old horse with the 3 first symtoms described for epm. there is no vet who knows about it here and no exams either. which treatment can we try on him?

Eliecer Vargas The standard of care at this time is a medication called Marquis made by Merial. It's a 1-2 month course of treatment and is expensive.. It is however the best we have out there for now.
