Thank you I really liked that. I have upset friends both black and white for saying blues drumming comes from Native Americans, African drums are poly rhythmic, blues drumming... please watch a documentary called RUMBLE: Indians Who Rocked The World. Also check out a doc called the history of the drumset on KZfaq. The drumset is uniquely American and all its parts came from Immigrants, Ziljian cymbals from turkey, Chinese woodblocks/ tom toms, floor tom, gong/ chinese cymbal, all from china. The harmonica comes from China. Another argument I get into is the hating on Elvis thing, Elvis was a Native American, like Charlie Patton, Howling Wolf, Jimmy Hendrix, Ronnie Spector and Richie Havens. He went to Black Church where he sang. Hound Dog was written by two Jewish guys for Big Mama Thornton. Play what you feel, I like eastern instruments, I went to Turkiye and I bought a Saz I really love Saz music and Turkish Acid Rock from the 60s. I would play in the lobby and I could only play blues on it tuned G D G, the staff thought this was very funny. I went to a music store to get new saz strings and I was waiting so I played Little Red Rooster on a saz using a plastic lighter. When I went back I was told to wait and given cigarettes and coffee. When the master was done teaching he grabbed a saz off the wall and handed me a plastic lighter. I realized this is in me, they called it jazz I call it blues. It's in you too and It aint goin nowhere, thank you again.

I like music of roots: early delta blues, early flamenco, early medieval, early folk, celtic-Scots-Ireland-Isles, and every cultural inclusive from all countries. Go on and exclude people that don't respect snd value that! Free your self!

I think a green bottle slide sounds better than clear glass. I'm superstitious about this song and when asked to sing it, I sing a version of graveyard blues instead. Good job, this was great!

@@jackrosiemusic9506 have you tried a crystal mic instead? It picks up metallic tone, not just the string.

@@Willy_French that sounds really cool! Yea I’ll check those out. I think the video is just recorded out of my phone, not through the pickups.
@Willy_French
@Willy_French 3 жыл бұрын
@@jackrosiemusic9506 yeah the phone becomes the audience. What the player hears and what the audience hears are two different things. the audience hears the soundboard, the player hears the bass response. A reso is basically like a tin banjo with a useless metal body around it that doesn't resonate. I had a reso with a string pickup and got rid of it. I wanna get a Gretsch like yours and put a mic inside. I don't wanna sound like a know it all but I found emerald green glass thats thick like a Diablo wine bottle sounds the best. Thanks!

@@Willy_French Honestly I’m pretty ok with how it sounds from the phone…I have two mic and bunch of different picks and slides, but I’m really just digging the phone recording lol plus I actually have no choice with the guitar since this one is the loudest😆
