I just had a recent experience where they want to charge for their system $25k + 30% return, selling you the system for $35k roughly. You have to give them your tax credit in 1-1/2yr in order to pay monthly payments on the 25k if you don’t pay the credit return your payments will be based on the $35k since you kept your tax credit. Politely scamming people for their well earned credit lol

A friend of mine signed up for ADP after me with Ion and had panels on his roof 8mths before me. That’s right- I’ve got panels, 10 months after signing up for it.

I’ve had ION Solar on three houses now and never had an issue. It is a construction project and to think there would never be a mistake is probably a mistake on your part. If I’m understanding your video correctly, they are a horrible company because of a meter sticker was left off, a 3 inch piece of scrap railing was left on your roof, and an accidental hole was drilled in your wall. Sounds like the end of the world to me. Maybe read reviews for other solar companies and find one that’s never made a mistake. Or find me a home builder that’s never made a mistake. Or any perfect industry for that matter. Come on man…

Went with ION solar last June, 2023, today it’s January 26, 2024… just got my solar meter attached I can finally use my panels

Horrible company and I would NEVER GET solar panels it’s a rip off.

I should had review your video before signing on with ION solar. Thank you for posting videos like this up to inform consumers. I am 50K in the hole for the solar installed on my roof and got ghosted by their sales man in the Oregon area when I started to ask for the incentives promised back to me. Remember do your DD before signing on with anyone. I learned my lesson. I hope you report them to the BBB!!

TLDR: They Lie in Their Marketing. I don't do business with companies that lie to me. The fact that all these other customers are having issues once they commit - No Surprise! If you Deal with Dishonesty, don't expect good business practices once you're locked in. That's the short answer. They have been calling me numerous times, saying they're responding to my "on-line inquiry" and they want to set up an appointment because a bunch of my neighbors have also expressed interest and they will "be in my area soon". They know my address and have analyzed solar exposure from aerial photos. I have never filled in an on-line inquiry with this company or any other. When I pressed for proof that I filled out an on-line inquiry, the caller agrees to comply, but needs my email address to send it to me. (Why, if it's an on-line inquiry, wouldn't they have collected my email address? And - Sorry, not willing to have them lie to me by email, too). She couldn't tell me the date other than "a couple months ago". When I asked: "You're telling me that I inquired Months Ago and you're Just Now getting around to calling me back?" Response: "Well, ma'am, I'm trying to set up an appointment with you right now. Which days and times work best?" I told the last marketing caller from ION a week ago that I didn't inquire, and that I already know solar isn't feasible for my home because of the age and the attic/roof supports would need to be rebuilt. Wouldn't you think they'd remove my number for this reason? No, because they're using some marketing prospect list they bought and making up this lie that I filled out an online form asking to be contacted with more information.

I am right there with you. They have not responded to any of my requests and they denied doing damage that they absolutely did to my roof.

We’re looking to move here from the new city of Milton Keynes, can’t wait for some fresh air and some freedom for our children it’s a bit to rough in the city to allow our children the freedoms we had as kids, but I think a small place like spalding is the perfect mix

This dude is just a nit picker lmao. To expect a huge project like a solar installation to have zero hiccups is ridiculous, especially if you have trouble getting approved. If your biggest complaints are that there’s a couple pieces of metal left over I think you’ll be fine. There’s thousands of positive reviews about Ion from people who probably went through similar stuff as you but didn’t feel the need to make a whole video about it because its actually not that big of a deal lmao. Plus you recommended Tesla which just shows you have no knowledge about the solar industry.

Well that pretty much ends my intention to schedule any meetings with their reps. I simply do NOT, have the time or energy to deal with any crap like this. Two of their reps came to our doorstep and gave us a sales pitch and said other reps would come out the next day. Not gonna happen.

An interesting fact about the Bull. The sign does not have a bull on it but rather a parchment. not 5 miles away there was an Abby and still is a church in the village of Crowland. It has the highest longest bell ropes in the UK I think. Anyway, the Bull is a religious parchment designed to carry the news of Christianity to all the local churches and Parishes around the Abbys and cathedrals way back in the day. The Bull Inn at Market Deeping was the place the Monks from the Abby would stop on their trip around the parish. My Grandfather told me that, H worked sometimes in the bar many years ago. He also opened the fire station and ran it from an office in the library staffed with Local volunteers until 1971 when they built him a real station next door. Both my father and I served stints at Deeping fire station.

I had a similar experience with Ion and they sales rep sent me a credit check until I was fully operational while paying payment to dividend. Also, my inverter is down and they going to fix it soon.
