Hi. Is Spring gully accessible for an off road caravan ..18ft? Are there any hairpin bends?

There are some steepish sections. Just travel careful & you should be fine. We saw a van about that size come in on the Saturday. We worth the drive in.

Ive got an E2, Im just about to run the anderson cables with new cable direct from drawbar to my dcdc charger ( not factory ) at battery box. Does the factory wiring enter the battery box then go up to circuit breaker and return to battery ? I just want to use factory cabling as a pull through if possible. cheers

The cabling runs inside the kitchen side drawbar rail. Pops up into the floor frame & then out again. Then up into the section behind the cutlery tray. Now up the back wall to the elec panel all the way to the 50 Amp breaker. Now back down the back wall, along behind the cutlery tray, into a tunnel behind the wheel well & into the battery box. You can use the cabling through the drawbar as a draw cable. Then drill holes into the floor of the battery box. You need a 50 Amp breaker as protection in your new cabling. The factory cabling is big enough 6B&S to run most any setup you would have. Just pull it back down from the elec panel etc to get it underneath. Will save you a bundle of $$$. Reach out if you need any more guidance.

@@4wdfun So if I cut it behind the cutlery tray and redirect back from there to battery box it will then be direct to drawbar ? I'd already deleted the circuit breaker and just joined the positive cable behind there. Where did the anderson negative go, same route or to battery box ? Thanks for the reply.

From memory negative goes via the negative link behind the elec panel, same route. I think if you cut behind the cutlery tray & pull the negative & positive back through you should be ok. I did all this late last year, so hoping I am remembering correctly. I spent about a day sorting out what each of the cables behind the elec panel & in the battery box did. If you cut as close to the back wall as possible, there should be enough length to come back into the battery box via the same route all the other cabling runs. If you disconnect from in the elec panel, you can pull them down & definitely have enough. You can use 1 of the other cables to draw through.

Wtf going on with all the guy ropes man?...
@4wdfun
@4wdfun 3 ай бұрын
Last year the awning wanted to be on the drivers side, so always 2 ropes each end now to keep it where it belongs. Poles have to stay up somehow, so ropes required. They help stop the walls flapping in the wind. I was testing a different setup yet again in preparation for an outback trip where I needed to setup a swag near the drawbar.

Hi mate, we are looking at getting an iconn. Have you found a way to stop the dust getting in yet?

Gidday. That particular area was due to not enough silastic around the fill hose where it passes through the floor. Other areas appear to be from the seam sealing not quite taking. Not sure if it was incorrectly applied or the product didn't like sticking to the plastic floor. Audrey is a July 22 delivered ICONN E2. My understanding is the new ICONN E2 Next Gen has had more attention applied to underneath. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Thanks. Audrey has a dust suppression fan that does just that. Only issue was a sizable hole in the silastic for where a water tank fill hose ran. The fan had no chance of holding out the powder of outback NSW. Only found the hole after arriving home & emptying the cargo hold.

I have been watching the trailers evolve,they have a Swiss Army knife approach,do you need all that stuff? And the price..
@4wdfun

I always say you buy the trailer you like, then customise to suit your requirements. We are building Audrey up for long term travel. A simple weekend, little needed. I'm always testing new ideas. Price you have to accept or go without.

Such a cool track, great lap. If I had bigger balls (and maybe better tyres) I reckon I could get into the 60's or lower. Haven't been able to get there since the start of the year, hopefully next year sometime I can get some more seat time.
