Legend has it that he was flicked with a towel that led to his cancer but I have never heard whether this is true. I first heard the story in the 70's so it certainly has circulated for a long time.

Sorry , no respect for Frawley , to leave his family like that is cowardly , and he had everything to live for , while the rest of us slog away 9-5 paying massive mortgages and living costs on a fraction of what he earned .

Dude, just because the coroner ruled his death a suicide. Does not mean it was. It could have easily been a blank out moment, as there is insufficient knowledge about the extent to which CTE produces neurological dysfunction. Hell I had a mate, as x-rugby player, who blanked out once walked off a balcony and busted up his leg. He had no recall of anything till he was lying in a hospital in traction. He has suffered with all sorts of problems since his playing days. It's a truly fubar condition CTE.

Phenomenal player. How did KB not make the AFL team of century, , greg williams gets in ahead of him..bewildering, maybe due to more than half the selection committee being ex Carlton players/administrators/coaches.. 778 goals to 217, 5 flags to 1, 3 best & fairests in premiership years to 0, 5 best & fairests to 3.. 7 goals in a grand final (record at the time).. i dont barrack for Richmond but that was a head-scratching call.. amongst others

Not to mention his coaching record of 7 years coaching the Essendon senior side which today stands at the best win/loss ratio of any former coach in the history of the VFL/AFL - 2 premierships and primed the team in his last season of coaching to hand over to Jim Clark to make it to the Grand Final the following year. That said, his on field ability in his playing days puts even his coaching record in the shade.

So your plan is to make these videos in an effort to tear down the reputation of footy’s greatest players and telling the story as though no one remembers what happened with your overall aim being to get likes and subscribers. That’s honourable 🤔

Perhaps do proper research rather than slinging shit to see if it sticks. Carey was living in Moonee Ponds in the same street as Jason Moran. They knew each other as neighbours. Carey knew Moran as a person in passing and gave evidence as such. No doubt Carey knew of his reputation but was not part of the Moran clan. Typical shithouse KZfaq journalism.

Well Blighty, some of us are still dying to hear why it was that you banished Austin McCrabb from Geelong's Quarter Time huddle against Hawthorn at VFL Park in 1990, why you made the Geelong players stand in a guard of honour outside of the Adelaide Crows' playing race as they entered the arena at Football Park in 1994, and why you labelled David Pittman as the most "pathetic" ruckman that you had ever come across in your entire life in football after the Crows had lost to Richmond in 1997. There are countless other things that you never spilled the beans about either.

@@effkay3691 The video is titled worst moments confirmed. The things that I mentioned would surely have to be either among Malcolm Blight's worst moments or stuff that he may now regret that he did. He doesn't elaborate about it in this video, that's why I am interested to know. And imagine if the entire world had your attitude that stuff happens. Very dismissive, isn't it?

😂😂😂 complete Rubbish. This is a man who lost his brother and father to suicide, survived it and turned into a 5 time premiership player, the Era he played in was well known for having no respect and he's been a great person for the game ever since, tackles issues on camera where a lot of blokes go hiding and Dermie is respected everywhere. Whoever uploaded this is a Wrongun.

You only have to watch the first 2 minutes of this complete and utter crap to see a poorly researched factually incorrect piece of garbage reporting. Soccer footage for starters. Sheedy did more to encourage, support and progress indigenous players than just about anybody in the history of the game. Not just for Essendon and the AFL but all over this big country. A coupe of disgruntled players making sensationalised allegations that have little or no basis in reality has become big business and basically gutter politics…..

Not everyone has the courage to have ago! Not everyone who has the courage to have a go has the talent to make it! Not everyone who has the courage to have a go and has the talent to make it has the ability to get to the top! Dermot Brereton had the courage to have a go! The talent to make it. The ability to get to the top! And he stayed there for a very long time! Outside of football he’s been successful in the media. I’ve never met the man but it seems he’s also a decent, down to earth Aussie! Asides from throwing mud, what are you good at?

The Krakouer's (one a convicted criminal) are just out for more easy sit down money . They have no moral high ground . Personally I can't stand Sheedy , but if this racial industry keeps up , we may as well pack up the AFL . Clubs bend over backwards to look after their indigenous players , employing minders to pay simple bills , keep them out of trouble, advise (as Clarkson did) to not let their families bring them down etc , but there is no appreciation . Universally loved Eddie Betts (not by me) , and other pampered AFL players who are only part Indigenous are pigs at the trough of the racism industry which empowers them , enriches them and gives them unwarranted gravitas . And guess what , they are all married to white , blond women ! ! So much for "Preserving their culture !
