I got a late start to this series and just finished this episode tonight. As I watched each episode, I've been stopping long enough to watch reactors to get their takes as well. I'm so glad I found this compilation. Of all the "reaction mashup" videos I've seen, this is the best. I think it should be required viewing for anyone going to school for film editing. Bravo.

Hey Peter. Thank you so much for that delightful comment. Im also glad you are able to check out the solo reactors and their channel as well. Provided links in the description. To compliment the channel for editors to watch is so humbling. 🙏 This is what inspires me. And my crown goes to you. Thank you so much We are always watching

Till Andor came out, THIS was the peak of the Star Wars shows, THIS episode. The pain, anger, hatred and sadness that flashed across Burr's face as Migs Meyfeld was more character development than Finn got in three feature length films. I literally had goosebumps, and I admit I shed tears, and then sat in stunned silence when he blasts the imperial officer. We NEED more Star Wars like this and Andor!

Beautifully edited Gambit. I've seen most of these reactions independently and they say the Jedi's the name throughout. Not their fault, they're excited. But you edited this video not only in real time to create a well paced flow, but you made sure to edit out all the callouts so that it builds with anticipation and feels like everyone is there all at the same time. Great job. You should do more reaction compilations. You're very good at it. Also, adding Marge at 16:35 was hilarious.

Hello there! Dubbadizzo86. I’m glad you noticed that. And took some time to watch some of the other individual reactors channel. While scrolling down the comment section. There are mentions on why lots of the the reactors in this video didn’t call out Luke from the get go. But the editing was truly intentional. And you worded it perfectly. Building the anticipation. I can’t wait to show you the extended remastered version of the (chain-reaction) edit.

Literally the only episode in the first two season that I thought was actually good - but then again, I think the franchise peaked with Empire and has been downhill ever since.

While certainly not the only giant plot hole, the one the bothered me most in this episode was how utterly stupid the computer face scan authentication was. That just ANY face would authenticate and accept the user instead of it having to be specific officers along with thumb prints or passwords or voice authentication etc. Just so unbelievably stupid. I still think that this particular episode of The Mandalorian is the best Star Wars that Disney ever produced.

The last truly good thing that Star Wars did. This was the most overwhelmingly, unanimously positive reaction from fans that the franchise has had since Empire Strikes Back (May, 1980) and yet - both shockingly and unsurprisingly - no lessons were learned. Pay attention to who's reacting here - THIS is how you make something great. You don't pander to men or to women, you don't pander to black or to white, to hispanic or to asian, you don't pander to gay or to straight... you pander to fans and THEY make more fans.

This was the true send off for Star Wars in my eyes. Like just a moment of pure perfection. There’s been some ok stuff here and there, but it’s all downward decline. It’s such a shame, but it doesn’t tarnish my memories of the good times. I just choose not to watch anything going forward.

Good point but, but I respectfully disagree. To begin with, it wasn't clear exactly when this took place. Also, until Luke actually removes his cowl, the idea that they could've convincingly shown Luke would have been difficult to conceive at all. The direction masterfully drew out the surprise in small increments (X-wing arrives, Jedi robe, Grogu's reaction, green saber, etc.) so that no step (until the final one) was big enough to get the audience to say "Oh, now we know it's Luke for sure" but so that every step made the audience more certain that it could be. I think you can tell who is more jaded and who is more credulous based on their reactions, but it's very easy for me to imagine a true fan not buying into it (or even being substantially sure that it could be Luke) until the actual revelation. This was really, really well done in so many ways. Apart from the ending of Rogue One (whose appeal was also based in revelation of a character from the past), it might be the best sequence in anything "Star Wars" since the original trilogy (maybe since "A New Hope").

It's weird because a lot of them were predicting EU characters when it should have been incredibly obvious that it was going to be Luke

They were originally discounted to make the rebellion seem underdogs. But X-Wings are clearly the space version of a F22 Raptor. Just a massively superior interceptor. A truly scary fighter. You don't want to see an X-wing. Well that is how the fiction has seemed to evolve so far.

I can tell who knows what's about to happen and those who don't. The ones who do know and try to pretend they don't, please keep your day jobs. This is directed specifically toward the cat who says he doesn't know who the asset is but the kid next to him as a Grogu doll front and center. KZfaq has created a way for people to make money who love to stay at home and make others believe they've never seen something. I enjoy genuine reaction videos and appreciate those who are honest that they've seen something already. The others need to find actual work.
