What is the techstack used to make these projects?
@KonradSzawinskiКүн бұрын
I think the solution could be much more simpler then presented. Establish each strongly-connected subgraph (you can do it with DFS and a stack) and count the number of 0-degree inbound vertex in each group (exclude S).

My answer was actually quite similar: i got that you needed to connect to the input the nodes with no input, but i dont think i would have implemented it as efficiently. I have still got a ton to learn, brb once i become better. High school gang woo

I think the sol to the first problem is we will take the{ d distance} and itrate it through blocks then we will go in the block and will itrate to the objects if the objects is 1 then we will delete the object from the{ array a} till the array becomes zero and output the d👍

So she is not a normal engineer, she is just a coder...I havent seen nothing engineering from her. Just a quick dummy coding response with pretty short perception
@msmaaay-ks7dg2 күн бұрын
What the hack? I havent seen the end yet, but the algo she wrote is overcomplicated for a such simple task. There should just a simple for loop starting from 1 to blocks.length -1 and distance counters calculation distance to the previous and next blocks from current. Thats it. You would have an about linear complexity insteadof heaving two for loops what have sometimes event nested loops...Im a regular senior developer, but even at my junior level I belive I would think the same way

Damn, im going through this now. But I'm starting my job search early on. Because I still have about 6 months before I graduate. Have had one internship and I have some projects and I'm doing some networking. I think I'm going to do a hackathon as well. But i'm just getting rejection after rejection, just for internships.

I think in multi billion dollar company like google there's enough money for paying for development in small increment chunks of 10 -- 100 lines of code each and for reviewing all code until perfect.. In typical low budget projects dealing with tons of legacy crap your commits will be at least hundreds lines of code,. most of it just transforming the mess in the more digestable food, if you try to write perfect code you'll be fired soon for there will be always someone to write it faster and crappy, for product managers it does not matter what's inside as long as it's working.

There is an ability to understand things without being explicitly told. Most of the candidates that you have interviewed lack this ability. It's kinda infuriating like bro just get to the point instead of beating around the bush.
@Javaman210117 күн бұрын
Why is being "clever" a necessary quality in a candidate? Just use an nlog(n) solution and move on with your day. 99.9999% of work tasks will be completed to satisfaction with trivial solutions.

And rust is a good language with a good ecosystem, it has tens of thousands of different crates to use and is close to the hardware. It’s a good and non verbose programming language and u catogerized it as would code in? I don’t even understand how u classified all the high not close to hardware language as top tier. How would you even classify HTML and CSS as a programming language
@peanutt...841911 күн бұрын
This is what I don’t like about these developers, they talk about programming language tier lists and it’s always just inaccurate cuz every developer has its own preferences. For example I will never use python for my game engine but I will use it for backend web development

When I first saw this problem, I thought this is a recursive tree thing. But my brain doesn't like recursion very much, so it came up with a much more efficient iterative approach.
@thewelder353811 күн бұрын
Maybe I've been coding too long and I hate problems like this, but my brain would immediately be looking for an O1 solution. Right after the problem was described, my brain said, this is something you want to do bitwise. Assign a bit value to each of the required buildings and start bitwise ANDing with the blocks. This points you to a greedy approach, but not necessarily the perfect one. For a perfect solution, preprocessing the list would be a good idea. I identify the rarest required place and AND off those bits. Rinse and repeat and it'll give you the perfect solution. What you definitely DON'T want to be doing is traversing the list backwards and forwards. That's just insane.
