Wow!!!! I did that exercise and the pain got worst. It worked for my sciatica pain but not for my piriformis syndrome.

Although this video is old, its new to me and has helped me greatly. The pain is coming from my sartorius muscle and the pain is sharp and stings. I will massage, ice and stretch - thank you very much

Do you have pes anserine? I'm asking because stretching actually makes this condition worse so it should not prescribed. How do we not get inflammation in this area?

I noticed you haven't posted in several years. I hope it is a temporary break and you will consider sharing more joy and insights in the future. Blessings to you both!

Leaning over the client to massage the side away from you can also put the person who doing massage at risk. Go over to each side and massage and protect your back

I find when I work on my son who has a lot of health issues, when I do body work on him it's like a wave comes over me where I almost pass out. I need to take a moment and have a seat. I get dizzy and light headed. He is the only person that this happens to me.

That looks good but seems to only massage the external obliques, that would be just releasing the tension on the sides, but not for back specifically which would come from the tension in the glutes muscles.

I can well imagine that the massage clients project their problems on to the masseur as those in therapy project their psycic problems onto the therapist aka transference. This is why such therapists need to consult therapists to cleanse their soul.

Great video. I am a 77 year old woman who has been dealing with this for the past 3 years. It started with Zumba classes after doing them for over 3 years. Only recently diagnosed. Went for a while without pain and now it is back for no reason I can figure out. Not doing Zumba anymore - walking about 2-3 miles four to five days a week. Can only figure it came back from not doing enough stretching. Hating it. Will follow your instructions and see if it helps. Thanks.

Mine started a year ago. Not sitting during the day was all that I did was different. I’m 72. Very painful when bent,walking, steps,and bent in bed . Under a physio now can’t walk far and so frustrating. This guy is very informative.

I got this exact pain two weeks ago when I decided to start running again after not running for 20 years. Two things I learned.... don't go full bore on the first day back, and don't forget I'm not 18 anymore. The knee pain was so intense for 2-3 days after and I felt so unsteady on my legs, if one of my dogs had bumped in to me I likely would have collapsed to the ground. I rested a week and felt better, then attempted jogging again (a shorter distance) and the pain came back the next day. Its not as intense as the first time but still enough to disrupt my sleep at night. I'm wondering now if I should rest until the pain is completely gone, or wait a couple days then get back at it to build up some strength. Tough call...

Do you worry about it smashing your internal organs
@BusyHive
@BusyHive 2 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for comment. Not really if it’s done easy and slowly. Organs will move out of the way to give a way to eased external pressure. On the other hand if you start jabbing it and not ease slowly then that a possible. Same with using a hands to work on psoas. If you ease in slowly tissue and fascia will “melt”and move out of the way. Hope that helps

This hahaha! Been my issue but it’s longer term now. Went from 6-7/10 pain to now 0.5 when I flex my Fort or figure four in that immediate spot in the knee you pointed to. Aaah! Annoying id like to restart running but am fearful of it re- igniting and causing longer term issues. Os there a danger of that and what might you say about it. When I had run before totally quitting I was using tape. Ive been getting ims and shockwave too.

A personal test for PA Bursitis is to sit with legs straight out in front of you, place non-injured foot on the inside of the heel on the injured side, then push that inner heel into the opposite foot like you’re trying to twist your toes outward and the opposite foot is blocking it. That activates the large muscles that cross the PA bursa and will cause pain up there by the knee and is tell-tale for PA Bursitis.

I have bursitis right below my knee on the inside. I have tried ice, CBD, guasha, ibuprofen w/Tylenol, resting my leg & it still hurt. Still on light duty at work. Workman's Comp, after waisting my time, decided they won't take care of it or I already would have had the bursitis drained : steroid shot and I would get back to work. But because I have OA I have to wait to go to the VA to get consult but they will have my x-ray &, MRI thankfully. Then another month to wait for appointment to have my bursitis drained and receive my steroid shot. So I am one month in & have extreme pain. So what can I do in the mean time to alleviate pain in my knee¿

From a PT. The two X pieces of tape should have an 80% stretch applied to them with the ends of the tape laid down with no stretch. And the long piece of tape should have a 25% stretch to the middle of the tape with ends laid down with no stretch. This will cause the best support.
