That is a lot of stems. I count 7 in a 2 minute video - 2100 an hour? And cut to length too. Holy mackerel, I'm impressed. I like the looks of the Tigercat head. Do you like it? They continue to impress me as a company. Looks like a new machine for you, I like how you already have the black worn off down to the primer where the stick attaches to the knuckle. You joust favor that side for felling. No moss growing on your tracks brother! Have a good New Year, be safe!
@TRichard30
@TRichard30 Жыл бұрын
Wish stem count was that high average 1000 stems a shift. Not always clean going like I show in videos . Machine was new this spring has 2600 hours now no issues at all three hoses that's it. I'm impressed with machine so far good setup. Thanks for watching and happy new year to you.

Copy. I just read my comment, I meant 210 stems an hour - 2100 an hour and you would be able to leap over tall buildings in a single bound and shoot spider web from the palm of your hand! Big fingers, little keyboard. You're really adding up some hours, do you double shift? I hear you on brushy ground, that slows me down too in the Buncher, specially if it's rocky. I'll bet you see some wet ground too, though that block looks pretty solid. Do you guys run Tigercat 1075's for forwarders? They seem like animals, even at a 1000 stems a shift an operator would want a little bit of a lead on one or two of them before having them breathing down your neck. Ive always wondered about double shifting if the operators can keep one shift or switch back and forth. Seems like switching would be hard to keep adjusting to. But I imagine after putting that many pieces on the ground every day being able to sleep is not an issue. Is this a camp setup or is it close enough in so you can get home every night? Don't mean to be to be nosy, just interested in how other loggers get it done. Good talking with ya!
@TRichard30
@TRichard30 Жыл бұрын
@@thedailylogger1045 The machine runs only day shift. A Tigercat 1075 picks up behind me, it also only runs days. I come home every night usually an hour or so from the house.

Finallly!!! a video of someone cutting wood that we cut. New England hardwood. Pleasure to watch the smoothness of taking them apart. I just purchased a used 6000. @@TRichard30 the xt series is truly in its own lane, I worked and operated a fixed for right of way clearing, after running the 7000 I was blew away how little we worked on it besides daily maintenance. Going from a ergo and h7 and a 803 with a 622 to the 7000 was a eye opener. When people ask me questions about the head I tell them what you just told me and that you have to just experience the head to understand the animal that it is. Thanks for your response.
