I spent the first 60years of my life in Sutton/Carshalton, and I drove a black taxi, based at Sutton station for about ten years. I have great memories of the area and still go back once a month and stay the weekend with relatives. Sutton used to get quite rowdy at night with all the theme pubs and a few night clubs around. Nearby Carshalton is a lovely village and I used to be a regular at the Greyhound pub, Carshalton ponds, for many years, and I have wonderful memories of old friends from there. Wow! Perfect location Big Ben and House of Parliament is also in that place even Westminster abbey is on the right side and the Treasury building is on left side and why is to many flags today?
