G'day Ash. I live in Melbourne and looking at these tyres or the newer S23 for commuting too. That's very impressive mileage you got for a hyper sport tyre. My main concern is in the wet, basically I shit myself when the rear slides out on a roundabout for example. Would you say you felt confident in the wet with these? And did they still feel confident before you swapped them or did you loose that confidence earlier? Thanks for the vid

@ashinoz113 ай бұрын
When you say raw, do you mean it's too fast for you? I would say it is smooth. If you want a slower 2 cylinder get a parallel twin.
@Teejaay13 ай бұрын
@@ashinoz11 no it's not too fast, i mean when it stutters at low revs I can't get used to it. Is this the case with all 2 cylinder engines? So far I have only dealt with 4-cylinder bikes
@ashinoz113 ай бұрын
@Teejaay1 4 cylinder engines will do that as well. It sounds like you are riding in 6th gear too slowly and when you accelerate it is so low in the rev range, that the engine is not designed to be ridden like that.

Seems like you've chosen the wrong tyres and wrong bikes. You'd be better served with touring tyres.
@ashinoz116 ай бұрын
@domd2304 wrong. I love my Superbikes and these tyres give me excellent grip and great mileage. Why change a winning formula? To me it sounds like alot of people don't set up their suspension to suit them & the tyre pressures.
@domd23046 ай бұрын
Looking at the tyres you clearly don't ride in the hills or any real corners etc (not even using the soft compound toward the edges of the tyres) so the tyres abilities are not utilised. For sure it's better to have too much tyre than not enough, but the s22's last about 6000km when ridden in the hills. Looking at the limited range of use on your s22's something more sports-touring would give you all the grip you'd ever need and even greater service life (and better grip when cold /wet).

Definittely the RC51 is the most enjoyable to drive, for me anyway. 🏍 I have the VTR SP01 from 2000, that´s how it´s named in Europe, and still in love with it 🤩 very good handling, feel the tork of the V2 motor, it feels like you´re dealing with a 600cc weight wise. It´s a brilliant motorcycle.

How do you compare your V2 against your R1/ZX10? I have a 2018 s1000rr, which I love.. but I just can't help but feel this V2 would be a lot more fun on the road. Sounds like you can actually ring it through the gears without doing jail speeds.
@ashinoz117 ай бұрын
Yes I would agree with those comments. The R1M is very hard to ride at road speeds, the ZX-10R does it easily but the V2 sound and looks plus it uses less fuel than the litre bikes all adds up to a nice street bike.
@jamieBrillus7 ай бұрын
Beautiful bike mate. Do you know how much horsepower & torque it makes at the wheel?
@ashinoz117 ай бұрын
I haven't bothered with a dyno this time because the Ducati Akrapovic engine map that comes with the exhaust is so good I am not looking for more horsepower. I bought Woolich Racing AutoTune before the bike arrived because I have always had fun using that on my ZX10R and R1M but it doesn't work on the Ducati unless I take out my ECU and send it to them which I didn't have to do on the other bikes. So not impressed with Woolich on a Ducati. Back to the horsepower it is 155hp stock? With the 10kg in weight saving over the stock exhaust then the new engine map it would have to be 150 to 160hp at the back wheel. I saw a stock V2 do 150hp at the wheel. It is not in the 200+ HP like the litre bikes but it goes like a rocket if you use the revs and the torque is pretty much always there throughout the rev range. Supposed to be 174kg stock, be 164kg with the exhaust, few other bits like the wheels and 160kg would be likely with around 160HP it is excellent power to weight ratio.

@@ashinoz11 , 155bhp is the rating for the engine at the crank.. while modifications can improve efficiency and power delivery, surpassing the engine's designed maximum power is usually not feasible without significant internal modifications. So 155 is the likly best output and i doubt very much any ECU mod can exceed that my freind. Id say your bike is putting out around 140-145bhp
