You Abrahamic religions will continue to fight each other, never respect each other and will eventually destroy each other. We accept that there are many paths to God. Where as you believe your path is the only path. There are many interfaces but God is one.

@@christianstreetconversatio3115Unless you see Jesus and Allah and other Abrahamic names for God as Devas and not God( Brahman) the infinite. Then all these devas could be different paths that take you to the infinite, which we call Brahman. Even Krishna says in the Geeta that he’s all you need yet we have many paths and he was aware of those paths… he didn’t say he’s the only path. Or possibly we should limit the many paths philosophy within our own religion and not include you in it. In that case we wouldn’t think very highly of you because some of the things Christian’s and Muslims have done while following their own religion is very reprehensible and pretty satanic in your own religious mindset. But then we would be just like you.

@@vcs99 Please limit the many paths philosophy and don't include Christianity in it. No Christian asked to be part of it. Jesus is not a "name" or an "avatar" for God. He is a second person of the Trinity who came from Heaven to the earth, born as one of us, lived a sinless life and died for our sins, being raised to life on the third day. He taught loving God, loving your neighbour and loving even your enemy. Krishna on the other hand liked to steal girls clothes so he can see them naked (Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (Bhāgavata Purāṇa) 10.22.). Please keep your Krishna to yourself. Better yet, truly read about Jesus and his life to see how different and unique he was. Then you will never again compare him with any of your so-called gods.

This individual is clearly not a following Hindu, but this is very common in Hinduism. Since congregation is not a mandatory practice, most Hindus know their religion by word of mouth(family, friends and media) or some sort of occasional communal gathering. Also since the cast system has always been a thing in the sub-continent it is not unusual for people of non-bhramin(anyone who is not from the priestly class) to not study the scriptures. Here is my understanding of the topic. Sanatana Dharma and Hinduism: Sanatana Dharma, often referred to as Hinduism, is an ancient and complex system of beliefs and practices originating in the Indian subcontinent. Unlike Christianity or Islam, it doesn't have a single founder, holy book, or set of universal doctrines. Instead, it's more of an umbrella term encompassing various philosophical and spiritual traditions. Way of Life vs. Religion: Hinduism is often described as a way of life rather than a rigid religious system. It's flexible, allowing for diverse beliefs and practices. There's no single "right way" to be a Hindu. It emphasizes personal spiritual experience and philosophical inquiry over strict dogma. Advaita Vedanta: One of the most influential schools of Hindu philosophy is Advaita Vedanta. "Advaita" means "non-dual," and this philosophy teaches that ultimate reality is one unified consciousness (Brahman). Our individual souls (Atman) are not separate from this ultimate reality but are identical to it. The goal is to realize this unity and transcend the illusion of separateness. This might sound quite different from the God-human relationship in monotheistic religions. In Advaita Vedanta, the ultimate aim isn't to worship a separate deity but to realize one's own divine nature. Schools of Hindu Philosophy: Hinduism has six main orthodox or 'Asthik' (belief in Vedas the foundational books of Sanatana Dharma) schools of philosophy: - Samkhya: Focuses on dualism between consciousness and matter. - Yoga: Emphasizes physical and mental disciplines for spiritual growth. - Nyaya: Concentrates on logic and epistemology. - Vaisheshika: Explores the nature of the universe and reality. - Mimamsa: Focuses on the interpretation of Vedic texts and rituals. - Vedanta: Includes Advaita Vedanta and other sub-schools, emphasizing spiritual knowledge and self-realization. Apart from these schools, there are 4 non-orthodox or ''Nastik' (does not believe Vedas the foundational books of Sanatana Dharma) - Buddhism: Life is suffering, and the path to liberation lies in understanding and overcoming the causes of suffering. - Jainism: Non-violence (ahimsa) is supreme, and liberation comes through strict asceticism and purification of the soul. - Charvaka/Lokayata: Materialism is key; only what can be perceived exists, and pleasure is the ultimate goal of life. - Ajivika: Everything is predetermined by cosmic principles and fate; human effort cannot change one's destiny. Monism vs. Monotheism: This is an important distinction when comparing Hinduism (particularly Advaita Vedanta) with religions like Christianity: Monotheism: Belief in one God who is separate from and superior to creation. This God is typically seen as personal and intervening in human affairs. Monism: The philosophical view that all of reality is essentially one substance or principle. In Advaita Vedanta, this means that everything - including what we perceive as separate individuals - is ultimately part of one universal consciousness. So while both monotheism and monism involve "oneness," they conceive of this oneness very differently. A monotheist might say, "There is one God," while an Advaita Vedantin might say, "All is God." In conclusion, Sanatana Dharma offers a rich tapestry of spiritual and philosophical approaches to life's big questions. Its flexibility and emphasis on personal spiritual exploration make it quite different from the more structured monotheistic religions of the West. While it can seem complex at first, many find its diverse teachings offer profound insights into the nature of reality and human existence. It does not define the creator god, rather believes in experiencing the creator by living a good life. While this is very different from the monotheistic version of the world it is far from 'Illogical', infact as I mentioned above there is literally a whole school of philosophy call 'Nyaya' i.e Logic in this worldview. Hopefully this helps you get some clarity. The scriptures in Hinduism is not just one book, there are literally libraries full of scriptures just to give an example the 'Bhagvad Geeta' (the most famous Hindu Text)is a small part of the the epic 'Mahabharat' which is the longest poem in the world, five times the length of the New Testament.

Well, my talking companion said that logic is irrelevant to his beliefs and this came up when I challenged him about Jesus, in whom he said he believed, but he didn't believe Jesus's own words about himself. That sounds like cognitive dissonance to me. Ultimately, it's fine to have a warm and fuzzy philosophy, but if a religion cannot make a claim that is worth examining critically then it's just a fanciful story - and a not very good one. On that basis I'd rather follow Marvel characters than Hindu gods.

I am sorry but what exactly is your point here? Since you claim to be logically and analytically superior to the individual in the video, would you like to logically tell me why should anyone believe in the ‘words of Jesus’ from a book that was written 40-120 years after his death by approximately 16 different authors in Greek and not Aramaic that Jesus would have spoken. Then it was translated and retranslated by hundreds of clergy to fit the narrative of the hour but according to you that ‘word’ is more relevant than thousands of years of actual teaching. If you want to be logical then religion is not for you, religion requires you to buy into a specific dogma and then it starts making sense, in this example you believing that Jesus actually said those words that you are spreading as ‘word of god’. All is see is projection and bigotry here and no real logic. Hinduism is not about the storytelling or the gods in it but about the morals of the story. Its is not about the destination but about the journey itself. It is also not a ‘Religion’, I would equate it to Civil law or a constitution where the clauses are explained by story telling, you are allowed to have different interpretations of the ‘law’ and choose your path to live a life within the allocated system but not break it, and like civil law or constitutions you are also allowed to modify and append the clauses since they are not literal words of ‘A God’. The idea here is you can choose to believe in Marvel characters if you want to but the universal law of ‘Karma’- actions and ‘Dharma’ - Duties must be maintained. Also here is a list of all the modern schools of learning that have come out of the Hindu Scriptures generated by ChatGPT: 1. Mathematics: • Zero: The concept of zero as a number originated in ancient India and is attributed to the mathematician Brahmagupta. The use of zero and the place value system are detailed in Hindu texts like the Brahmasphutasiddhanta. • Decimal System: The decimal system, including the use of zero and positional notation, was developed in India and is mentioned in texts such as the Rigveda. • Algebra: Indian mathematicians like Aryabhata, Brahmagupta, and Bhaskara made significant contributions to algebra. They solved quadratic equations and developed algebraic notation, as documented in texts like the Aryabhatiya and Lilavati. • Trigonometry: Indian scholars introduced trigonometric concepts, with Aryabhata being one of the first to use the sine function. Their work on trigonometry is found in texts like the Surya Siddhanta. 2. Astronomy: • Heliocentric Theory: Aryabhata proposed that the Earth rotates on its axis, explaining the apparent motion of the stars and planets. This concept is discussed in the Aryabhatiya. • Planetary Motion: Indian astronomers accurately calculated the periods of planets and developed models for their motion. These are detailed in texts like the Surya Siddhanta and the Siddhantas. 3. Medicine: • Ayurveda: Ancient Hindu texts like the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita form the foundation of Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine. These texts cover topics such as surgery, anatomy, and pharmacology. • Surgery: The Sushruta Samhita, attributed to the sage Sushruta, describes surgical techniques, including plastic surgery and cataract surgery. 4. Logic and Philosophy: • Nyaya: The Nyaya Sutras, composed by the sage Gautama, are foundational texts in Indian logic and epistemology. They discuss methods of reasoning, debate, and inference. • Vaisheshika: The Vaisheshika Sutras, attributed to the sage Kanada, outline an early form of atomism and classify knowledge into categories. These contributions from ancient Hindu scriptures and scholars have significantly influenced various fields of science, mathematics, and logic, and their legacy continues to impact modern knowledge and practices.

@@christianstreetconversatio3115 Also here is literal breakdown of your statement with all the 'Logical Fallacies' in it, hopefully this will help you understand that what you believe is not exactly 'Logic', also this is not my 'Belief' its generated by ChatGPT: "Well, my talking companion said that logic is irrelevant to his beliefs and this came up when I challenged him about Jesus, in whom he said he believed, but he didn't believe Jesus's own words about himself. That sounds like cognitive dissonance to me." - Appeal to Authority Fallacy: The speaker challenges their companion's beliefs by implying that because Jesus said certain things about himself, their companion should logically believe those things too. This relies on the assumption that Jesus's words are an ultimate authority, which may not be a shared premise for everyone. - Straw Man Fallacy: This can be considered a straw man because the speaker simplifies and misrepresents the companion’s belief system (belief in Jesus but not in his words) to make it easier to attack. "Ultimately, it's fine to have a warm and fuzzy philosophy, but if a religion cannot make a claim that is worth examining critically then it's just a fanciful story - and a not very good one." - False Dilemma Fallacy: This statement presents a false dilemma by suggesting that if a religion cannot make a claim worth examining critically, it is merely a fanciful story. There could be a spectrum of value and truth in religious beliefs beyond these two extremes. - Hasty Generalization: The speaker generalizes about religions being fanciful stories based on the inability to critically examine certain claims, without considering the complexity and diversity of religious experiences and teachings. On that basis I'd rather follow Marvel characters than Hindu gods. False Equivalence: This compares fictional Marvel characters to Hindu gods, suggesting they are equally fanciful without acknowledging the cultural, historical, and philosophical significance of Hindu deities to millions of believers. Red Herring: This distracts from the main argument about the validity of religious claims by introducing an irrelevant comparison to Marvel characters, diverting the conversation away from the core issue.

@@bhushan1987 Bruh, you've just "appealed to authority" by deferring to ChatGPT :) I've never accused anyone (not even my talking companion) of logical fallacies, but I have just agreed with his own explicit assessment of his beliefs i.e. that he didn't use logic (meaning 'critical assessment') as part of his beliefs. BTW, logical fallacies are useless in a conversational context - when we have a general chat with someone we are usually not constructing syllogisms. You can apply ChatGPT to most conversations in the same way and almost all would have some 'logical fallacies' in them. A more important question is - when are you going to read the Bible so we can have a fruitful discussion about it? That would be a much better use of time than running my comments through ChatGPT.

In John 14:6, Jesus is saying he is the way and not the destination. The destination is the father, not Jesus, which means Jesus is not God. At his time, prophet Jesus was the only way to God just as prophet Moses was at his time. In the time of prophet David, no one could go to anyone else to learn about the word of God except him. The same applies to all other prophets. If you believe that both the father and son are two destinations and that you must believe in the son before the father, you believe in two gods that must be worshipped. Jesus was a prophet of God sent to guide others, not God in human form.

The spirit of truth is archangel gabriel. If you did any research whatsoever you would know this Mohammed was literally illiterate, find me one historian that will disagree with that fact lol Hadith are fabrications? We muslims probably have the highest level for accepting historical evidence. If you reject our hadith you basically have to reject all of current historical knoweladge as a standard. For our hadiths to be considered authenthic we need multiple chains of narrations that lead all the way up to the prophet and first hand eye witnisses, these eye witnisses and chains of narrations must all be identical in their message or atleast have no remarkable change, the people who narrate these things must prove they have strong memory to their society, they must be good people known by society to be truthful and honest We literally have full biograpphies of the people that narrate the hadiths we know who they are, who else met them, where they were during their lifetime, their character, we know everything about their lives Bukharei himself once was looking for a hadith for over 6 months and when he found that person holding food infront of sheep and taking it away so mistreating the animal he told him I do not wnat your hadith because of your lack of character, that's how strict the regulations are for our hadith

@@blackwolf5947 Great question! (one I often ask when an atheist challenges me in he same way). Usually, I would like to see evidence that places the claim for existence of a person (or in this case a demi-God) in a historical context. This would be similar to how any past event is being analyzed by historians. For example, are there scriptures and can they be dated, were there eyewitnesses, can they be placed at or near the person or events, are the events / persons being described in congruence with the known historical events at the time, are the names/places/geographies correct for the context, are there any other writings that comport with the events being described, etc. However, I would also be interested in personal evidences - for example, specific experiences that cannot be explained through other means. In real life there is rarely a smoking gun, but there is usually a cumulative case that can be made for a claim.

@@filmykabila Thank you. I looked into Hanuman footprints and they seem to be commonly understood (even by many Hindus) to be man-made objects of worship rather than real leftovers from an actual being standing on a soft stone thousands of years ago. At the very best, the footprints certainly don't have any attributes that would allow them to be analyzed in detail towards any concrete conclusions. I think we have more and better footprints of dinosaurs or even of the purported Bigfoot creature (or 'Yeti') than we have of Hanuman. In terms of his birthplace, what is special about it? Did he have parents? Was his birth witnessed and recorded by others. Please let me know how this would be considered evidence of his existence. In fact, if he is worshipped as God, but was born then there surely must be more to the story. Jesus came from Heaven and became flesh by being conceived in Mary's womb. His birth town was prophesied and his birth recorded and placed in a historical context that we know about from other sources. While this not an open and shut case for his birth it formulates a cumulative case that can then be critically examined. Do we have anything like that for Hanuman? While I agree that a lot of religious stories are myths and legends, I do not think that all are. Or if they are, there are kernels of truth in them to a lesser or greater degree. I think it's our responsibility to get to those kernels of truth and make sure that what we believe is based on reality and not fantasy. Basing a life on fantasy is tragic. Have you looked into the life of Jesus? I'd definitely recommend it.

Well to answer your questions in _"Impressions and Intro"_ the gift you offer is not there. If you give me an empty cup and ask me to drink you can't exactly be offended if I refuse to drink. Full disclosure I am an atheist and an anarchist so I don't believe in a god and reject even the notion of inherent authority. Why is improving the lives of people around me not a goal of value? It sounds like you don't believe it can be but why not? If my life and theirs are both improved then they are let X equal X improved lives are improved lives it is that simple. If you do right by a person they have been done right by that appears to answer morality, but as for us being intrinsically good or bad we aren't either, how could we be. If there is a mix of good and bad people the quality is not innate. Triangles innately have three sides, think I am wrong go find one with more or fewer sides than that, you can't do it because again triangles innately have three sides. It is not this thing where you rule your life and make your own reality or something, no you attempt to make people's lives better, and if someone says you can only do harm to them dust off your feet and walk away. I have had to do that. My presence can only do harm so I remove my presence. It is not a duty to self it is a duty to humanity. The world is harsh and unfair your job is to make it not so. If there is this god who thinks so highly of me you think he could do more than my mere human friends. They have given me food and shelter, they have talked to me when I am alone, they have gone on adventures with me and this god hasn't. I am supposed to belive he thinks highly of me? How?
@christianstreetconversatio3115
@christianstreetconversatio3115 6 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for taking the time to post a very considered comment. I actually do think that improving our lives is a goal of value. My only challenge is how should we measure improvement. Abortion improves the life of a mother, but not of the aborted child. Giving money to a drug addict going through withdrawal improves his current situation, but prolongs the addiction. I agree the world is harsh and unfair and I'm often part of the problem, not the solution, no matter how hard I try. We need help. We need someone to show us a better way. We try and try and fail. That's the story of the Bible. God gives us freedom to act, but we use it to make a mess. However, there are also highlights as you pointed out very well - friendship, charity, companionship, adventure. Why do you think god doesn't know about these? Jesus was a "friend of sinners", he fed 5,000 hungry people, he calmed the storm, he comforted people who have lost loved ones, he took his disciples on an adventure of their lifetimes. God thinks so highly of you that "every hair on your head is numbered". But that's nothing - he thinks so highly of you that his son died willingly for you. Try to get to know him. Read about what he is like in the gospels and then pray to him. He answers. He knows even before you ask, but he still delights in his children coming to him.

@@christianstreetconversatio3115 _" Abortion improves the life of a mother, but not of the aborted child."_ Depends on the parent and child, I mean I ran away from home and a lack of childhood would be preferable to my poor childhood, never being born preferable to suffering I think. If I never found my husband and still lived in poverty would I want my life to continue? No probably not it would likely have ended on my terms long ago. I have seen it happen and the people are no longer suffering. Sure it's no happily ever after but it is reality. I mean sure sometimes we fail but I am more in friendship, charity, companionship, adventure train now. What makes me think God does not know? I mean he doesn't show up. Feeding the 5,000? Sure it takes more than a day but I have given over 5,000 meals to the hungry over the years Want me to get to know him? Have him set something like that up. I will do it every day for the rest of my life, we will make 5,000 lookalike nothing if I have no food budget. That sounds really fun. This kid is extremely poorly catechized, as I was when I fell away from the Catholic faith. Christ is God, one part of three Divine Persons, and the second Person of the Trinity. When God looks at us, He does not see us as His only begotten Son, Jesus. The fact that you say, Jesus becomes a symbol of our sin is deeply wrong and offensive. He undid the schism created by the first of our first parents, that the gates of heaven might be opened. In the Credo in Deum, it states: He (Jesus) descended into hell, before His resurrection, that He might open Abraham's Bosom to heaven's entrance. At the last supper, Christ gave his apostles authorization that they may forgive sins: "Receive the Holy Ghost. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven, if you retain the sins of any, they are retained." (John 20:19-23) We are not automatically forgiven our sins, we must go to confession and receive absolution from an ordained priest. A priest who has authority because they have not broken apostolic succession through schism from the ONE True Holy Roman Catholic Church. Repent from this, please. You will find that the place, you came from, is often the place you need to return to. Sincerely, a revert to the Holy Catholic Faith.

Thank you for the post. While my language was symbolic at times (i.e. "when God looks at us he sees his son") it was nevertheless representative of greater truths. In this case it is that we (i.e. those who are predestined) are being conformed to the image of his son, as per Romans 8:29. In terms of our forgiveness of sins - we no longer need priests because we have Christ who is the sole mediator between us and God as per 1 Timothy 2:5. Also, read Hebrews 8 and 9 for a deeper exploration of Christ's priestly role and his atoning work. Hopefully it was clear that I have nothing against Catholics, but I do hold views against Catholicism which, in its pure doctrinal form, is an aberration of Christian doctrine. Still, my mission is not against Catholicism either. Finally, no need to reply to this post in order to challenge my doctrinal views - I spent far too many years looking into these myself and so I don't think we'll resolve anything by debating in the KZfaq comment section. Instead, I would be glad if you would respond to the general call and purpose of this channel which is to bring the gospel out into the streets in conversational form.
