Hey all, in case anyone is here trying to figure out what is up with the pattern it is not here anymore. I have no clue why or what happened but I would go to another tutorial with a functional pattern

Thanks for the video! Very informative. Just wanted to say that I wish that when you showed the tools (bevelers, etc.) , that the tips were in focus when you showed them to the camera. Also, it's a pity that you were wearing a baseball cap as while you were hammering the tools, we couldn't see the technique at all.

A snap on the buckle side instead of rivets will make it easier to get on and off. It will get hidden by the strap going through the buckle if done right.

This may seem like a dumb question but I’m new to leather crafting. Are there any paints and/ or dyes that can make leather look like metal? Or maybe a process of treating the leather to get a metallic look? Thanks.

Thanks for making this video. Is Carnauba cream enough of a finisher/sealer for oil based dyed leather? I’m starting to make wallets and belts and have Smiths leather conditioner but I don’t trust it enough to use is as the only finisher. I’ve been doing this: dyeing > antiquing > sealing with Satin or Super Sheen > adding Smiths at the very end for a shine. I would rather not use Satin/Super sheen because it leaves the leather a bit sticky and not as smooth. Someone told me I should research “proteic binders” to add to the dying mix when dyeing which anchor the dye in the leather. If this actually exists, and all I have to do after dyeing is add conditioner, it would look and feel sooo smooth.
