Francesca and Phillip you lovely people: I tried making an enquiry through the Harkness website. My question was along the lines of will Rosa 'Lady of the Mist' ever be released in the UK or is it unsuitable for our climate? I have been enjoying my 'Chandos Beauty' and 'Well Being' for several years now and wanted another Harkness rose with extremely potent fragrance and long lasting blooms hence 'Lady of the Mist' or could you suggest another?

I live in grow zone 3 in Canada where the temperature drops to between -40 to -50 degrees Celsius during winter. Would I still bury the pot of cuttings outside in the garden over Winter until the Spring? I use rose collars for my established Tea Roses to protect them during the Winter. I am not sure whether rose collars would protect the potted cuttings over our extreme cold in our cold Winter temperatures. Thanks.

I've got 43 on my allotment, some grown from.seed. I don't lift them in the Winter as I live in the south of England. I just wish they had a fragrance.

Instead of a 500w frost heater to save houseplants in winter i now use a 400w led light that gives nearly as much heat but over winters peppers lovely plus winter salads ! I get greenfly problems but a bit of soap spray keeps them down .

Watching this video has confirmed my view that show gardens are really for people with lots of money to spend on their gardens.

Thank you!! As an American who visited Chelsea for the first time last year and was just overwhelmed with the magnificent gardens, this was a really clear description. I love the professionalism and transparency of the process. Thanks again. ❤

Thank you for this useful info, I have tried this many times and it hadn't work, could the time of cuttings make a difference? and what sort of good compose should one use?

The three new Garden Clouds varieties of Lonicera nitida have great promise as Box alternatives. The three have distinctly different different shades of green foliage - Copper Glow, Green Breeze and Purple Storm. They are very easy to grow and very adaptable, with more vigor than Box but easy to trim for a hedge or topiary. Hopefully the RHS will trial them to discover their true potential.

It’s a bit controversial how much misting helps, I’ve seen some say that misting barely does anything by for humidity, nor do pebble trays, and the only effective way to raise humidity indoors is to get a humidifier near the plants.
