Set the racks on bricks or pavers to keep them off the ground and they should last several years. Much longer than if on the ground

Mike I been thinking 🤔, if you have square box 📦 metal cut off at 3” or 4” or 5” pick your length so that the 2”x4” can slide into metal . I believe you have a welder , weld a 1” rod or 1” square tube on the top of the 3” ,4” or 5” pc you are using hold your firewood on the end for height you want 4’ , 4 1/2 ‘ or 5’ feet 🦶 you make that call . If it like 👍 in the 709 there scrap metal shop you can find the metal for a bag of peanut 🥜 don’t have to be new stuff . Just something to hold up 🔝 firewood 🪵 in the wood 🪵 yard . Sorry about my English I’m just old logger with No school’G . You got a bandsaw mill you can make string any length for woodyard Mike . 😊 Mike Life is Great in the 609. Life is POOR in the 709 😢.

Mike can I give you my 2 cent worth , end pcs cut of on an angle now flat 90 . Angle 📐 like 👍 30, 45 last longer in the weather. Your long string on the ground screw little block on the bottom keep main string off the ground plus add air flow under your premium firewood 🪵. Plus your right move angle 45 degree up to halfway on your 2”x 4” of the ground. Your way better them old wooden pallets, pallets don’t last long plus leave the ground cover in nails for tractor 🚜 tires 🛞 . You know Mike pallets got a million of nails in them to fall out with time . 😊

Got the same problem on a Toro LX460. It has a Kohler courage 20 HP. I've put red heat n oil RTV on it no luck. Put new gasket with black RTV. Still leaks. They make a repair kit for these engines. Comes with a new valve cover, gasket, and an extra piece of metal that goes around the bottom half of valve cover to hopefully fix the leak. Gonna try that next. Great video. Hope your repair works.

Wow, 25 trees to make 60 face cord, you have big trees there! I am on the opposite! 60 trees for 25 face cords! Lol! I did not like much collecting the small diameter for cordwood, until I got a boiler. I collect them in lengths of 4 ft, which are easy to transport out of the wood and to cord in my wood shed. So I handle them once before they are burnt in the wood boiler. A lot of time saving. Then the small wood is worth more than the bigger stuff I need to buck & split and then handle 2-3 times. Thanks!
@Lifeinthe906
@Lifeinthe906 Ай бұрын
The smaller stuff really makes sense for the boilers. Easy to handle and easy to process. I'm working on a boiler for heating my shop. Thanks for your input.
