i have the same set up only diff 6mt and im having idle bounce someone know a fix for this i heard people was swapping the j30a5 throttle body motor on the j37a4 throttle body

It sounds like a vacuum leak everyone who does this swap the vast majority turned out to be a vacuum leak or a bad throttle body or the gasket is failing on the throttle body try swapping the idle air control valve sensor from your old one

Hey man, thanks for the video. You answered quite a few questions that I had about swapping this manifold into my GEN one pilot. I do have one question though. The butterfly valve that goes on the intake plate. I did not see in your swap. Did you not need it or delete it?

For seven GEN accords automatics do not have butterfly valve. Only manual transmission, you don’t need to delete it if you have the butterfly valve originally on your vehicle

I think it was somebody on Acurazine who did this swap way back in the day and gained 15 WHP. It's a good mod for sure (I'm running a J37A2 manifold, which is essentially the same thing, and a Blox 74 mm TB on my "hybrid" J35).

My car is at the dealership having timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, spark plugs and oil pump replacement. They are doing knock sensor and harness as well as install lower intake runners FINALLY. I can't wait to pick it up. Thanks again for your video.

Hi, I just got a brand new j37 intake, gonna put it on the same J30 engine. Did you use a top plate with a solenoid? if not what is plugging the v shaped depression on the pass side of the intake?

Since my car is an automatic, it does not have the butterfly solenoid so to compensate all I did was get a top plate from a 08 Honda Accord if my car was a six speed, then the top plate I could reuse the Acura perfectly

@@jseriestech Yes, thank you I was just happen to be looking at a 2010 Accord and it has the proper depression in the and the gasket also has the v-shaped to it for the top plate. Im trying not to spend any more money on this particular project, but in the end I'm not going to have no choice, I'm your confirmation lets me know exactly I need to do. Much appreciated.

Nice review, thanks mate. The only thing I can say is that I've seen some terrible reviews on Amazon, and other sites, on both of these. Mind you, the reviews say the topdon 600s is a clanger, as well. What do you think; is the xtool ( even the next model down) worth a punt. Thank you in advance. John from Scotland 👍
