yes actually ; a pattern type that i couldn't figure out until i knit it ; you'll be surprised ; ripple stitches. Somehow the rhythm of the stitching didn't click for me ; i pursued it for years. In theat vein ; do you have a pattern for that ubiquitous vintage crochet ripple stitch tea pot cover ? I learned to knit them , was surprised to learn it's knitted by drawing the floats too tightly to make it gather up . Sorry ; this is way long and way too vague. I love your videos .

Great patterns! I chuckled about your story at the end struggling with the pattern. I started crocheting over half a century ago (literally) as a child, so no idea what patterns were hard for me then!! My Grandma taught me the basic stitches & then I taught myself how to read crochet dolls clothes patterns & loved it & took off after that! I was a stubborn child & would persist & persist until I could work something out, so I eventually managed to crochet a pattern for a skirt & vest that my Mum lined for me & I wore to my uncle's wedding! Oh yes, I designed a bag to go with it & it was all in hot pink!! I think I still have it somewhere as I couldn't throw it out!! LOL! Stay warm!! It's been very cold, wet & windy here! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

@kerrynwright that's such a great story! I wouldn't be able to throw it out either 🤩 It's wet and cold here too, the wind is the worst! We had 50km winds on Saturday 🌬

Hi Claire, it took me a few tries on the c2c, but once i got it, i have made many blankets, i am even making 8 x 8 squares out of my straps. I think you should use a bigger hook , but not too big, then you see the spaces. I use a 5.0mm

Hi Clare. Oh my goodness, I jumped in and wanted to do a crocodile stitch project at the beginning of crocheting, hahaha . There was no way I had the skills, and I did get quite frustrated It took months to try again. Yes, I did make a crocodile stitch project years later.😊That's my only project with it. Great pattern combo's here. Awesome for taking to markets🎉

Hi Clare. These are all great patterns! I don’t remember struggling to read a pattern in my younger years. My grandmother taught me when I was 8. But when I started taking crochet and knitting classes we’d be making much more involved projects and I was clueless, lol. Thank goodness for my teacher who is fantastic. I think in my younger years I only made blankets. I think the word you are looking for is potholder although hot pad works too but they are used for putting hot dishes on. Speaking of Tik Tok, I just reopened my account and don’t really know what I’m doing yet but I’ll be happy to follow you. Thanks for another great video. I’m always looking for quick and easy projects.❤
