I reckon that INEOS had a proposal for ETH (ready to be signed directly after the final)that would have him see out his last year without the involvement in transfer activity. As he won the Cup, ETH was bullish and INEOS suspected that he might decline the offer,because he'd be reluctant to accept the lame duck status. They were speaking to alternatives just in case he decided to "go somewhere else and win trophies",but no upgrade was available. In my thinking, if no better alternative is available, that means the original is pretty good, (Otherwise anybody would be good enough to take over! ) but not everyone sees it that way. The delay occurred because ETH had to agree to the new terms,but he was away on holiday. When he came back INEOS gave him adequate assurances, so he has agreed to carry on. This notion that INEOS were doing a season review (like they weren't paying any attention as the season unfolded)while he was away is nonsense. They were just waiting on his answer...

honestly he's such a crap manager, he doesn't play his best ability and performance players (like Amad, Pellistri, Varane, Sancho, Martial when fit) and he plays boring football. literally put one of our senior ex players to sleep during our loss against Nottingham. Only now have we seen better football with a clear style of play but it isn't the control posession we brought him in for, he is playing counter attack just as ole did. except atleast Ole committed to it, Ten Hag just seems desperate reverting to couner as it is the easiest style of football to coach.

I'm not sure his age is as much of a red flag as you suggest. Think longer term. ETH has an excellent track record for developing young players.

Man you are so on point. For me, Mount was confusing Mudryk on that flank. He didn't know his role. To keep playing Mount will be the shortest route to a sack for Potter cos he won't achieve much. Potter should use D Fofana as striker instead of Kai. Chukwuemeka is more creative than Mount.
