*Chuckhouseamopa!* I dig it, Chuck. Looks just fine. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride. Gotta get me some of that glue, too. Never heard of it? - Ed on the Ridge

Hey Chuck. I just subscribed. Love your channel! Anyways, I just put this same scoop on my '65 Satellite and had the same screws in my kit. I need to find a few longer than what was supplied. Did you have any luck finding different screws? Do you know what the "official" size of these are if ordering online?

Nice job. I need to r&r my console as well. A fun mod if you are not going to use a tach, is to install a Chrysler 300 vacuum gauge in the 'medallion' hole. Downside is the vacuum gauge is rare and relatively expensive.
@fratzogmoparsКүн бұрын
Nice restoration job Chuck. Did you consider putting a tach in the hole? My 64 Polara 500 has the same console with the decorative insert. Looked for a tach a few years ago, saw Classic Industry had one specifically for 64-65 Dodge/Plymouth with the center console, but they were on backorder for a few years. I got tired of waiting and bought an original with sending unit from Charlie a few years ago. Still haven't installed it, watching your video is inspiring me to get going on it.

Crazy I've kept my old block for decades and ready to do it up after years of sbc builds. Still have the original 727 and 8 3/4. Serious on the 470 vs 500 for daily driver stuff. Nice numbers. I'm not going racing but local and long distance cross country trips. Just want my Big Mopar again after many years without running one.

I like to dial it in with pounce powder, a dry guidecoat product, then either wet or dry 400 (I prefer dry), use an air blow nozzle on your sandpaper, to keep it clean and last longer. Then on to 600, in your case for metallics. Looking awesome Chuck!

Would this same procedure apply to a 2001 B1500 van with the 3.9 liter V6? Is this basically the same engine that's in my van? I work on mostly foreign cars but I'm not familiar with this particular design. Thanks!
@Chuck_House_of_MoparАй бұрын
That I do not know. I would suspect that the intake is of a different design.
@robertheinkel6225Ай бұрын
I had to replace the bumper on my old F-150. Insurance sent me to a company to pick it up. The outside looked good chrome plated, but the inside had no plating or protection. I primed and painted the back, and installed it.
@Chuck_House_of_MoparАй бұрын
I've done the very same thing on my trucks Bob. At least now they have some chrome on the back.

@Chuck_House_of_MoparАй бұрын
He made the crossmember himself. The mount is for a GM TH350 for practically any car build from the late 70s to the early 90s. He suggests getting the Energy Suspension piece that has 3 tapped holes. He used the center hole with a stud through the crossmember. They sell the Energy piece at O'Reilly's.

"Big" progress, "little" progress, whatever...as long as the momentum keeps forward, all that matters. Yeah, this friggin 90's heatwave puts the kibosh on the grunty/sweaty stuff like sanding for sure. No worries, plenty of other things to take care of always. This too shall pass. See you next one, *Chuck* . Always a pleasure, since channel day 1! - Ed on the Ridge
